Franklin County was 2-2 Wins over Madison Central and Boyle County Loses to Shelby County and PRP

Henry County has been the host forever for several reasons: (1) Largest gym in the region (2) Almost always a neutral floor (3) It sits in the middle of all the regional schools (4) It is supported by the community. In case you didn't notice, there is nothing in New Castle or Eminence to distract from the event. It should stay there. If it was held at Shelby, Oldham or anywhere else, people would complain about the home court advantage.

They will play Monday night! Monday, the court will decide to either let Vic Montgomery ref the game, or not ref the game. That is the question before the courts, not whether they will play the game or not. The judge will decide yes or no, and the game will go on. If the ref gets to do the game, I hope he enjoys it, because every school if Jefferson County will probably scatch him for this action.

Who do you like? During the regular season: 12/06/05 Franklin County 72 Woodford County 57 @ FCHS 01/03/06 Woodford County 70 Franklin County 61 @ WCHS This time it is at a neutral site at Western Hills. I think the Flyers will win this one. In their loss on January 3rd, they came out really flat after returning from a trip to New York. I don't think that will be the case this time. Neither team looked real impressive during the opening round, but I think the depth and the experience of the Flyers will send them to their first District Championship since 2000.

I watched the Franklin County vs Pendleton game last week, and was totally unimpressed by Elrod. Elliot is big, but the man for them that I was impressed with was Mains. He can handle the ball, shoots it well, plays good defense, and is jet quick. I think you would be hard pressed to find someone better in the 10th than him.

Pressuring or fouling?

Franklin County will be the favorite again next season. The graduate 6, but they have seven juniors who saw significant time on varsity, their JV went undefeated in district play, and their Freshmen also won the district this season. Ammons. . . turnover city. . . are you kidding? You haven't watched him play lately. He rarely turns the ball over, handles pressure extremely well, and never runs out of gas. Not having Harris hurt them in the scoring column, but not ball handling.
