With the field almost set for this years state tourney who are some of the players to watch out for. I'm looking for some names thats not mention much but you think will step it up this week. I'm really excited about getting to watch Slaughter from Shelby County.

Walt Allen and Ty Proffitt are the ones people remember the most from last season, but no player on SL's squad has been playing better than Jordan Hammonds. He has improved dramatically from last season.

Russ Middletan had a sensational game controling things for Mason in the region finals. He's a freshman.

He might not stand out, but he'll have an impact.

I love Slaughter for Shelby, but they aren't by any means a one or 2 man team. They are really solid throughout.

I agree on Middleton, dosn't play like a freshman, good player. Another one to watch for is T. Smith of South Laurel.
