You are correct, my mistake. I was not making excuses, just making the comment that a lot of teams are in that same boat early in the season. Clark has a nice team. Jones and Knowles are a load to handle! The 10th should be a heck of a battle between Mason and Clark!

Franklin County is the same way, and they finished the same night as Clark did in football. They have 2 starters who played football and a 3rd guy who either will start or at least play significant minutes who was hurt in their last football game. He is out 4-6 weeks, and should be back around Christmas.

Knowles had 21. This was a very good game. Franklin County led by 2 at the end of the first quarter, Clark by 5 at the half, and Clark by 7 at the end of the 3rd quarter. Clark got a few run-outs down the stretch to pull away. Jones did play, and I think he had around 12(not positive). Demetrius Hicks led Franklin with 14.

They have one vs. Franklin County on Saturday, November 18th at Tates Creek. I think the JV play at 3:30 and the varsity at 4:30.

Kaelin Ammons of Franklin County would have to be mentioned. Unbelievable at Football on both sides of the ball, and he starts for the FC basketball and baseball teams also!

I am not sure why that place is called the jungle? It should be called the cow field. It may be the worst field I have ever seen. I think the Franklin County Fair should move the annual mud run to the jungle!

I know all the love goes out to the 42nd and 43rd, but there are some very good players in the 41st and 44th. Madison Central maybe the most talented and deepest team in the entire 11th region. I would take Duane Fields over half the people on this list.

You may be right. Those are the numbers they gave on the radio broadcast as I was driving home from the game.

Ammons threw for 275 yds and 2 TDs, and ran for 2 more. FHS had 220 yds rushing, but only 3yds passing and 2 ints and 3 fumbles. FCHS will have to play much better, if they are going to stand a chance against LexCath next week.

They play at their county park. If you take Bluegrass Parkway to the Versailles Exit and get off and head toward town. You will take the first main road to the Left. This is the new bypass. It will run you straight into the park. The stadium is toward the back on the left.

Ammons sure didn't hurt himself. With Kaelin running the offense, Franklin County had the game in hand by intermission. Ammons ran for four TDs on eight first-half carries (122 yards) and completed 12 of 18 passes (289 yards), including one for a score. The Flyers had 470 yards of offense at halftime. The second half was delayed so that is all the stats the paper had, but he had a great opening week.

I think the final ended up being 70-31, but I am not positive on that.

There may not be as many teams at The Bluegrass Championship in Frankfort, but the competition sure looks better.

Yes, he did. He won it back to back in 1987 & 1988. Ballard won the 1988 title, with Clay County finishing Runner-up.

He was pretty Awesome! He had a great dunk in the first half. The beginning of this thread said that Owens won the MVP, that is only half right. He won the MVP for the East Team(Regions 9-16) Slaughter won the MVP for the West Team(Regions 1-8).

I think the game is on. KHSAA changed their website to reflect that the game is being played. I heard the KY Supreme Court refused to hear the case.

The Court of Appeals just ruled against Vic Montgomery, the ref who filed the court order holding up the game. However, the game is still in jeopardy tonight, because he immediately said he was taking it to the State Supreme Court and had already faxed the paperwork. Tentatively, the game is on for 7:00pm, but who knows?
