  3. It sounds like Owensboro has had some key injuries, and I think everyone knew from the start that they wouldn't be quite as good this year as they've been the last 4-5 years. Through the first four weeks, they seemed fine ... they hammered Daviess County and Apollo, lost to Owensboro Catholic in the last minute and gave Lafayette a good game in Lexington. Since then, it's been ugly.
  4. Yeah, missing 5-6 starters, including the QB and 2-3 veterans on defense. I didn't see Tilghman as flat against Mayfield. They simply got beat by a team that was better that night.
  5. And they also had 5-6 starters out for the Graves game.
  6. Not really ... they've handled the teams they're supposed to handle.
  7. No reason to expect it to be close ...
  8. Piecing together some details ... Owensboro's quarterback was picked off on all of his first four passes, and one of them was run back for a touchdown by a freshman cornerback. Lone Oak led 28-0 in the first 10 minutes, was stopped inside the 5 late in the first half and was up 49-8 in the fourth quarter.
  9. 7 ... Hazard 5 ... Magoffin County 3 ... Campbellsville 2 ... Lincoln County 1 ... Belfry Campbellsville
  10. Fort Campbell led 7-3 at the half and Tilghman didn't take the lead until the final play of the third quarter, then blew the game open in the fourth quarter. Most of the second half was played on the Falcons' side of the field. Fort Campbell had negative yardage in the second half and bad field position all night. Fort Campbell's only touchdown was set up by a Tilghman turnover.
  11. Including the Graves County game?

  15. Right now, it looks like Fulton County is the better of the two Fultons, which still is likely to get them a visit to a ranked team in Louisville in the first round of the playoffs.
  16. The last two games were against Crittenden County and Heath ... hardly the same level of competition.
  17. Then why hasn't Tilghman run the ball effectively against good teams?
  18. It's midseason .... why isn't the defense "fixed" by now?
  19. 7 ... Trinity 5 ... South Oldham 3 ... DeSales 2 ... North Hardin 1 ... Mercer County Trinity

  22. Johnson Central is still listed as 5A on the scoreboard site.
  23. I'm with you on that one. I expected the other two games to be closer, although it sounds like both of them were closer than the score indicated.
