Is Trinity the best team ever in Ky??
And maybe there are by their standards, which are certainly higher than just about any program in this state. Again, I guess Trinity has just had amazing luck in scheduling all these big-name teams that are magically down now. Someone should start playing the lottery up there.

Is Trinity the best team ever in Ky??
So, which is more relevant? That Maplewood was barely over .500 in 2009, or that they made it to the semifinals last year? Brentwood Academy should beat Maplewood year-in and year-out ... they should beat most of the public schools in the Nashville area on a regular basis. But it's still Brentwood Academy, and it's still a pretty darn good program. And Trinity only beat a 2-0 Elder team 56-7 on their home turf. I guess they're down, too.

Is Trinity the best team ever in Ky??
The buzz isn't because Trinity is simply beating those teams ... the buzz is because Trinity is annhilating them. Maybe Trinity is just smart enough to schedule powerhouse programs when they're down. If that's the case, their guys need to go to work for UK and U of L.

Is Trinity the best team ever in Ky??
Based on what? Montgomery Bell is down, maybe, based on the way Brentwood hammered them. But Brentwood (ranked third in midstate by the Tennessean) has done nothing since that opening game to show that they're "down." Brentwood beat Maplewood 35-7 the next week, and Maplewood was 12-2 and in the 4A semifinals last year.

Is Trinity the best team ever in Ky??
The 1998 Highlands team (with Smith, Lorenzen, etc.) was as impressive as any I've seen. So was Trinity's 1990 outfit. I saw both of those play in the state finals, and I saw Trinity win a close game against a very good Paducah Tilghman team in 1988.

Wow ... what a statement. You know all of that how? By watching games on the internet?

Is Trinity the best team ever in Ky??
Clark County's schedule in 1991: Woodford County ... 41-14 Lafayette ... 42-6 Bryan Station ... 34-7 Johnson Central ... 47-13 Montgomery County ... 49-6 Boyd County ... 33-14 Jessamine County ... 34-14 Madison Central ... 44-11 Pulaski County ... 41-14 Laurel County ... 37-6 Dunbar ... 53-8 Boone County ... 28-7 Madison Central ... 41-13 Trinity ... 28-20 St. Xavier ... 28-21 St. Xavier was 12-3 that season, having lost back-to-back games to Male (9-7) and Trinity (21-7) in September. Trinity was 12-2 that year. Male finished 9-3, losing to DeSales in the second round of the playoffs. It's an impressive resume, but I suspect it will pale in comparison to the one that Trinity will have put together by December.

Fort Campbell vs 5A Christian County Predictions
I'm not going to single out any particular posters, but I've been reading Fort Campbell threads the last two seasons and there are always a lot of questions about "heart" and "leadership" on these recent teams. Bottom line ... it's more of a talent issue than it is "heart" and "leadership." Bottom line ... Fort Campbell's talent level is back on par with a lot of other teams now.

Fort Campbell vs 5A Christian County Predictions
I read similar comment last year, and I saw Fort Campbell play Paducah Tilghman last year. Honestly, the talent level wasn't even close. I realize that Tre Powell was missing at the time, but the Falcons I saw really only had one playmaker (Hills) and he was being asked to throw the ball 25 times a game, which wasn't the best part of his game. Maybe this Fort Campbell has an influx of talent ... I don't know since I haven't seen them play yet. But how many Division I-A and I-AA kids were on the 2008-09 teams, and how many of the guys that are there now have that kind of talent?

Georgetown College to Host State Championships?
Louisville is closer to Indianapolis and Cincinnati than it is far western Kentucky ... we didn't complain about it.

Is Trinity the best team ever in Ky??
Brentwood Academy has won three straight since losing to Trinity by an average of 23 points, including a 42-13 win over Montgomery Bell. MBA just lost to an undefeated Baylor team by a touchdown. Elder had won their first two games easily before running into the Trinity buzzsaw and is one of the best programs in Ohio. Maybe Trinity is that good ...

Fort Campbell vs 5A Christian County Predictions
But it starts with talent. Few small-school teams (A-2A) were as talented as the Falcons in that era. Some of you guys act like this team should be just as dominant as they were ... it's not happening.

Georgetown College to Host State Championships?
Western Kentucky's stadium is the perfect size for the state finals ... not too big that even a good crowd gets lost and big enough to handle the crowds. The atmosphere has been great in Bowling Green the last two years, and the community makes an effort to make it succeed ... why would the KHSAA choose to screw that up?

Which schools have Purple as a school color.
It doesn't look bad, actually ... there isn't a great deal of purple on any of the uniforms I've seen. I asked one time why the school had that color scheme ... the red is for the blood of Christ and the purple for royalty.

Fort Campbell vs 5A Christian County Predictions
I admit you guys are closer to the Fort Campbell situation than I am, but really, guys? Is Fort Campbell's problem leadership ... or is this team just not as talented as the 2007-09 state champs?

Community Christian in Paducah has red as its primary color, with purple as an accent.

Is Trinity the best team ever in Ky??
I never thought I would see a Kentucky team that would beat Brentwood Academy, Montgomery Bell Academy and Elder by an average of 44 points. Barring something catastrophic, the answer will be an unadulterated "yes."

Bowling Green confidence level?
Of course, Bowling Green has to get by Warren Central first, and it's been a couple of years since they've managed that.
