After a comment from someone, I got to wondering how many schools in Kentucky have Purple as one of their school colors. Here are a few to start.

 

Somerset Purple and Gold

Bowling Green Purple and ?

Campbellsville Purple and Gold/Yellow

Campbell County Purple and Gold

Fairdale (maybe; might be navy)

Louisville Southern

Bowling Green is Purple and (Vegas) Gold. It used to be Yellow but turned to Vegas Gold when that color became popular. There may be some uniforms that still use Yellow though.

Lyon County

 

... Warren Central wore purple as recently as the 1970s.

Their KHSAA directory says Purple & Gold. But their jerseys always look navy. So who knows?!

Guess you don't remember the Martin Purple Flash back in the 60's.

It doesn't look bad, actually ... there isn't a great deal of purple on any of the uniforms I've seen.

 

I asked one time why the school had that color scheme ... the red is for the blood of Christ and the purple for royalty.
