  1. But it just seems like common sense that Golden State wants to make sure they make moves to stay better than everyone else. That’s the whole point.
  2. I just don’t buy the notion that every move made in the league is about LeBron. The 76ers and Celtics were the future of the east, regardless of what LeBron did.
  3. The front office at Golden State is responsible for building the best team that they can. I don’t think you can say in a vacuum that this is a reactionary move and the Warriors don’t make this same move if LeBron stays in Cleveland. A top (albeit hobbled) player is out there and willing to sign on the cheap. This is professional sports, you sign the best players you can to assemble the best team you can and win at any cost. I personally love it. I’m not a Warriors fan, but if guys are willing to sign for cheap and they’re getting it done within the rules, go for it.
  4. It certainly wasn’t what I thought would happen at 16. I figured we’d go a fairly standard couple of months and that’d be the end of it. But time kept passing, and the breakup never came. So thankful for that woman.

  6. Yep, but 14 here. Started dating when I was 16, married at 22, and going strong 8 years later.
  7. I thought the same. And the access granted by everyone involved is almost unprecedented.
  8. “The Staircase” is another true crime documentary series that was added Friday. My wife and I have binged 12 of the 13 episodes. It’s excellent.
  9. LeBron needs about 4 seasons at his current scoring clip to break Kareem’s scoring record. I don’t think he even considers walking away until that’s in his rearview mirror. He’ll pass Jordan probably around the all star break next year, maybe a bit earlier. He’ll go to Philly, I think.
  10. We do Blue Apron from time to time when they’re running a promotion. It’s definitely taken me out of my comfort zone and made me try some new things. I’ve enjoyed most of the meals, but it’s too pricey for us to do all the time.
  11. We get a lot of swallows at our birdhouse. They’re beautiful. Not sure the specific type of swallow, as there’s so many variations and I can’t get close enough to determine those key differences. My wife loves to watch them.
  12. I really enjoyed it. Thought it was a fun movie with a solid story and lots of action. **Possible Spoiler** As for the cameo in the end, I had to research after the movie because I didn’t think the timeline made sense. But apparently it is canon if you watch the cartoons (which I haven’t been able to do).
  13. I also came for basketball back when the East Ridge/Shelby Valley rivalry was a thing that mattered. After graduating, I stopped following high school sports pretty much at all. So for me, it’s a general discussion forum at this point.
  14. I can’t speak for anyone else, but I can’t remember going to a yard sale or flea market in my adult life. Zero appeal to me.
  15. My expectations are high. We usually just do Myrtle, but we’re ready for a change of scenery. Going last week of June.
  16. Tybee Island in June. Never been. Excited to see Savannah.
  17. Great documentary. The gentle giant lived a hard life. I can’t imagine how difficult it was to literally never have an opportunity to step out of the spotlight and just blend in. No matter where he was, he was always a spectacle.
  18. “Do it or don’t.” - Marlo from The Wire “Make big plays today.” - The West Wing, I think Josh Lyman.
  19. Larry Brown is bad news. I’m with the AD.
  20. Doesn’t matter how long I let it grow. It still never does. #babyface
  21. “West Wing Weekly” is probably my favorite at this point. The hosts just seem to gel better and better each week. My wife thinks it’s the most pointless and boring thing ever, but she doesn’t obsess over the show like I do.
  22. I imagine he’d be a top coach. But I don’t see any way he’d duplicate his UConn women’s success.
