Yes I remember when a Undefeated Letcher County Central came to Ft Thomas a few years back. They were Huge on the Line! Highlands steam rolled them because of their Speed and Quickness. I see a repeat of that tonight. Pulaski Co. players and fans are going to see what the Best of the Best looks like tonight from NKY!

CCH runs away with this one! JMO! Eddie is a College level Coach and has a College Level system. He knows what it takes to Compete at a High Level. Another casualty in Kentucky High School Football tonight. The Colonel train continues to roll on!

Yeah this years JR. Class was about as good as it gets when they were 8th & again as Frosh! IMO....Maybe they have help on the way but it doesn’t always translates to Success. We shall see!

I was standing at the spot in the End Zone where Highlands completed that OT Touchdown. The pass literally went through Two Ryle Defenders spaced about 4-5 yards apart and then was caught by the Highlands Receiver. I have never seen that before. I couldn't believe it wasn't at least knocked down. It was crazy! Noway that pass should of gotten past the 1st defender much less the 2nd. What a crazy finish! Ryle missed a couple of short field goals or this game is over in Regulation!

Grove Park Inn..... The best time to Visit is at Christmas. They have the National Ginger Bread Convention there every December and is a must see....

Maher has a Longer List of Colleges that are recruiting him. I think Derek would of went the Penn State route if it wasn’t for the Package deal with Lorenzen at Kentucky. At least that’s what I assumed. Maher is A Genetic Monster where Smith was a Big Kid that could play TE or WR & Fly!...It didn’t matter where he lined up! I’m a homer here and I’m going with Derek Smith. More Athletic all around.....JMO! But Michael Maher can line up at my “H” receiver anyday of the week and Seal the Edge! Phenomenal blocker but also has great Mitts!

I always wondered what side of the ball Joe Buten would choose. He’s the best tackler in the Sophomore class by Far. Kind of glad he’s on Offense this morning. Highlands needed him and Cooper on the Field last night at the same time. One compliments the Other!

Sophomore Joe Buten #26 for Highlands has to be on the Field at all times for Highlands. With him and Cooper Schwalbach in the Backfield at the same time it opens a totally different element. It showed last night that Joe can play at any level. Good things ahead for #26!

I’m going with the Birds! Duh....Lol! No seriously Highlands Defense is Night & Day better than it’s been in quite some time. Add to the Electricity that will Fill the Stadium on Friday with Ohio University’s Band performing during Halftime and throughout the game, should be for a Exciting experience at David Cecil Memorial Stadium. The 1st time they strike up the Highlands fight song the Stadium will get quite rather loud. Can’t wait for Friday! Go Birds!

The Ft Thomas 8th Bluebirds win the the Battle of Unbeaten’s over the Union Raiders last night in Ft Thomas 12-0. Very good physical game by both teams. #30birdsstrong

Very nice showing by the Birds last night. The personal Fouls called were a little excessive. Let me remind everyone that Football is an Emotional game. Love the Intensity that Highlands is playing with....Its about time!

Who were some of the Playmakers last night for the HHS Frosh? Foster Schutte as expected I'm sure! The kid is a Beast on both sides of the ball.....

Yes that’s the goal and that even means Simon Kenton. This year’s Highlands team is considerably better and they were beating the 2017 version of Marksberry’s “Machine” by 2 scores with less than 5 mins to go in the game before letting it slip away. Being what is planned for Sept 21st in Ft Thomas vs Simon Kenton, I’m giving the Birds the early Nod! I don’t normally do that but this game is like a few others that are critical for Highlands success. Highlands may not win them all but we sure as heck think we can. That’s half the Battle! Now back to the thread!

Totally agree on both teams being undisciplined....Can’t speak for Ryle. Highlands will fix their Dicipline. You can bet on that! If Highlands want to be a Championship ran program like it once was, dicipline wont be a factor.....JMO!

Agree...But then again Highlands Defense is considerably better than it has been the last couple of years. So maybe some Credit should be given there. I know they have it from me.

Just can’t figure out how Ryle’s Junior Class as good as they were 2 seasons ago can be that Bad. That was not Ryle like last night nor today during the JV game. Just bad Football being played in Union right now.

My initial take on this game. At some point Ryle must go under Center. It’s okay to do! Even the NFL goes under Center! If Ryle went under Center, it was while I walked several Hundred yards to the School to use the Bathroom since the Field facilities had a Sewer issue....Ryle was very Undisciplined. I’m not use to seeeing that!

Highlands JV has yet to give up a Touchdown this season. Ryle had it 1st & 4 from the 4 yard line and couldn’t get it in. I like what I’m seeing in Cake Town. Emphasis on Defense 1st.👍🏻
