#44 Foster Schuett for Highlands plays at a High Level for sure. He’s finally getting to play with his Buddies. He has played up the Last 3 years and it shows....Great kid and a even better Family!

The Highlands 8th grade Junior Birds with a very nice win over LexCath yesterday in Ft Thomas by the score of 34-12.

In my opinion that paints a Clearer Picture! That's just being outplayed.....Period!

So late in the game Cooper is Punting from the back of the End Zone. Mind you that they started at the 20 yard line to start the Series. How did they get back to the One yard line or where ever it was spotted? Either way it sounds and looks to me that Highlands is finally trying to find it's Identity with "Defense" again. Way too many Critics that last couple of years saying Highlands is flat out Terrible and can't play Defense. Even Highlands supporters! Cooper punts and the ball and it travels to about the 14 yard line. Somewhere inside the 20 to be exact. The Cooper players decided that it wasn't an urgency to get to the Ball and down it for fear of you guessed it, Highlands not laying down and playing Dead rather than someone trying to gain Experience and scoop the Ball up and run it "14" or so yards for a TD. Silly High School player! He didn't hear the Coach yelling from the Sideline to fall on the Ball for fear of being accused of "Running up the Score" Now, what Highlands is doing going for Two up that many points isn't something I can answer. Maybe they don't have a Kicker. Now you say, certainly someone in that program other than the Varsity kicker can Kick. Maybe they can or maybe they can't. Why practice & play Bad habits? I have coached Five 8th grade games up to today and we have yet tried to Kick. Just don't have a Kicker out of 30 kids. And guess what, I'm going for Two until someone stops it if that's all we have. Highlands had 45 plus points midway through the 2nd quarter. Like someone pointed out already....That's a lot of points for a JV game!

I was there......Wow Highlands played Mad! LOL....That's a old Dale Mueller saying! I'm hearing that Soph Joe Buten touched the Ball Three times and scored on all Three Carries. Joe is a Special Football player......

No we had to Cancel our 8th grade game with Corbin that day. The 7th grade team is still coming down. We have a Norseman League game that day against Ryle that we must play. Originally when we thought we would have 40 plus players, we scheduled the game but with the Limited numbers now, we have to kind of pick our Battles here. Maybe we will meet up in the Middle School Championship play....

Some game results from Yesterday....... Highlands Blue 8th beat Cooper 8th 54-16 Conner 8th beat Highlands White 8th 12-8 The elements were brutal yesterday but all the Kids hung in there.

This weeks games have been moved to Sunday @ BCPWFL "Confirmed" Highlands 7th grade Blue vs Cooper at 10:00 a.m. Highlands 8th grade Blue vs Cooper at 11:30 a.m. Highlands 8th grade White vs Conner at 1:00 p.m. Highlands 7th grade White vs Conner at 2:30 p.m.

On Blue..... Charlie Noon(QB) Already about 6'-1"ish Freak Athlete..... Sam Robinson(RB) Atlas Lindeman(RB) Adam Dunn(Slot) On White Jack Hendrix(QB) Dawson Hosea(RB) Larry Hall(RB) Brennan Kelsay(Slot) Ryan Deburger(End) We finally have some Size coming through with Both Offensive Lines. Very Big! Both teams run Identical Offenses and are Coached by One Staff. After 3 games they are 96 to 12 point differential. This is fun group of kids to watch play! They play again this Sunday against the same Two teams but Flip the Script. Blue plays Cooper at 11:30 and the White plays Conner at 1:00. Both games are at BCPWFL Field.

Highlands 8th got off to a Fast start yesterday. Highlands Blue defeated Conner 22-0 & Highlands White defeated Cooper 44-6. Some good stuff in Ft Thomas last night.

A little different story here.....Recently in Bellevue a guy and his family were asleep upstairs when Two suspects tried to Break in the Back door. The Homeowner's Dog went nuts and the homeowner came downstairs drew his gun and Fired Two shots into the Ground. After Two more warning shots were fired into the Ground the Suspects called the Police and filed a Complaint against the Homeowner. When the police showed up and were interviewing the Homeowner, the Cop said you're a Bad shot. He said, I would of Shot them Dead. Sure enough the Homeowner was just served a Law Suit filed by the Suspects. The Suspects said that they were just walking by the House...LOL! This whole time the Suspects Car was parked in the Homeowner's Driveway! Can't make this stuff up!

And thanks for everything you guys do to make things work out for everyone. In the End, it's about the Kids playing the Game(s).

We passed it inside the 3 last year in the Playoffs right before Halftime against South Oldham!:laugh:Do you remember what happened? I do.....Oh and I agree that the Teams with the Fastest kids win these feel good Competitions.

Anybody know the Numbers of each team? Are they up or are they down? Ft Thomas has currently 31-8th graders and I think 57-7th graders signed up to play this year.

Just wondering who are some of the Schools that are participating in the Norseman Middle School Football League this year? The Fort Thomas Bluebirds will have both 7th & 8th grade teams participating this year. Should be a fun year!

Yes I will be on the Bench for both Highlands game.

Who are some of the teams playing in this? Highlands vs Franklin County @ 5:30 p.m. Highlands vs Bourbon County @ 7:15 pm. I did see where Newport Central Catholic is supposed to play Christian Academy-Louisville @ 2:30 p.m. before Highlands.

The Ladybirds travel up to Veterans Park #2 in Newport(NCC's home field) to take on Ashland. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.

Game has been Pushed to 6 p.m.

Not a good showing by the Ladybirds tonight in Ft Thomas. Bourbon County came ready to play and Highlands not so much.

The Ladybirds Score Three in the Bottom of the 7th in walkoff Fashion by a Sac Fly Ball from Brooke Dill after Leading 5-0 through Five Innings. 8th grader Gracie Schlosser goes the Distance. The Ladybirds need to find a way to not Let off the Gas and start putting Teams away. I’m sure my man @justGAS will fill in some additional details.
