Tough couple of days for the Colonels. Were up 26-8 in this game.

 

I don’t know the last time Highlands beat CCH in hoops....been awhile. I think the last 2-3 years, CCH won by 40+.

 

Glad this rivalry has some life, and can’t wait until Mayer is back.

 

26 game winning streak snapped. Come March CCH will be good.

CCH played like you would expect...inexperienced.

I'm not sure what is more amazing, that CovCath Football was riding a 29 game winning streak at the same time Basketball had a 26 game winning streak, or that they were both snapped over a 31 hour span.

 

Sounds like those in the Birds' nest got their money's worth.

Ben Sisson for HHS was the best big man in that gym and it wasn’t even close. He’s a grown man! He was doubled the whole game and they still couldn’t stop him.

Sisson is a big boy, and skilled. Never had his chance last year due to injury.

In my opinion, that was a tough game to watch. Too much physical play and not enough “basketball” being played. Every other level is moving to a more free flow style and in high school we have to watch games where kids can’t shoot or handle a ball but by God they can push you under the basket for a rebound. Just my opinion.

The score was 3-1 Highlands with about 3:00 to go in the 1st. 8-3 CCH after 1. It’s not how you start but rather how you Finsh! The Birds finished tonight. Need to find my #bullybirds T-Shirt!
