I was blessed to Coach Brycen for One year in the 7th grade. What a Coaches Dream to Coach! Has a Motor that can't be taught. One of the if not the most Skilled players outside of Beau Hoge that I had the Opportunity to Coach in Middle School. His 8th grade year he moved up to Freshman. IMO, there will be more Offers that follow! Congrats Hudy Lite!

Big Win for the Bluebirds on Sat night in Ft Thomas as they continue to have a great Season with or without the Kids that didn't want to trust the Process. Ben Sisson 17 points 10 Rebounds 4 Assists & 3 Blocked Shots. Nice job Teddy! Sam Vinson got back to action and had 6 points. Hit what to prove the game winner as he drove the Baseline and got the +1 Basket with 6 seconds left. Nate Roberts 8 points & 5 Assists Ryan Leigh also netted 8 points. Go Birds!

Sisson missed the 2nd Free throw as it would of made it 65-64 in Highlands favor. IMO, I think it would given Highlands a better shot had he made the 2nd Free throw to set up a Defense rather than let Harding grab the rebound and take off up the Court and draw the cheap foul. The pressure for Harding from Newport to make One Free throw to tie rather than shooting to win the game is a little different. Again IMO! Would of could of should of right? Very nice post by you by the way!

I wish Ryan Leigh from Highlands would of gotten off to a better start last night. I think he was 0-5 from behind the Arc in the 1st quarter alone. He normally knocks down at least 2-3 of those on any given night. They were all open looks as well! But like they say, keep shooting it will start to fall. And they did! I thought both teams played extremely hard for all 4 quarters. I did see that both Conner & Cooper players were in the House to see the Freak himself in person. Ben Sisson may only be 6'-5" but plays much taller than that. Does anybody have the number on how many Block Shots he had? At Least a half dozen that I can remember. Donnie Miller is a smooth Cat...No pun intended! At what point does Coach Snapp form Newport need some CPR? My goodness! I know he's over the top but he almost Stroked out last night. He got very lucky when he approached the scores table late in the game and punched it. It was Technical worthy...IMO! He did it within 2:00 left in a 1-2 possession game as well. Very lucky! This isn't the Highlands teams of old from the last half decade! Not even close....

I meant ranked higher. Everybody knew what Highlands had coming back. It wasn't like they were laying in the Weeds!

Might just have to wear my #bullybirds shirt tonight! I actually have one.... They way Highlands plays it actually reminds me of a Covington Turners League game. So don't act like the CCH players have never dealt with a little Physical contact once or twice. It even gets Physical over at the Friars Club(Oh) for any CCH kid who hasn't experienced Turners. Certainly the CCH players have played there!

Isn't that a little harsh? Highlands has had plenty of talent the last 3-4 years. Maybe not enough to compete like they are now. I like to think of things as a Marathon and not a Sprint. I think Kevin Listerman and Coaches do a unbelievable job. Who am I kidding, one's my Brother In Law!:clap: Highlands success just didn't happen overnight. They have been building this team for a few years now. I commend the players who have "Trusted the Process" Go Birds!

Not a huge fan of Rankings. On that note, I know not being preseason ranked is what has fueled the Fire behind how Highlands is playing! It's still a very young season.....

This is a huge game for the Highlands Basketball program. They have had this game circled for quite some time. If Highlands brings the energy they did against CCH then I say anything is possible. And if they don't then it's the Wildcats by 12. I like the BullyBirds by 8-10.

If you’re going to Lose one then this is One I can handle. IMO! On the Road in a different Region(Officials) and only lose by 4 with 3 Starters on the Bench with 2 Fouls midway through the 1st quarter is okay in my book and teaches the Kids how to deal with some adversity. Maybe next time they’ll be able to Fight through it! Go Birds!
