Since you are such an expert on what defenses to play I would love to know why you didn't bash Coach Listerman when he beat Holmes so many times the past years (or did you?). Do you always just bash coaches when they loose or that is the only time you speak out. What is Coach Listermans record against Holmes? Enough said! Always amazes me how many experts there are on here when a coach looses. Sure Faust is a good coach and there are many in Northern Ky., including Coach Listerman. What coach Faust showed Coach LIsterman the other night was how to blow a lead and loose. Coach Listerman's decision to play his style brought him back from being down 12 to a 2 point lead with less than a minute. Sometimes things are not meant to be. Great job Coach Listerman! How does he do it without the help of people like you on his bench advising him.

Cov Cath in a blowout. Jacobs, Bovard, Grimes and Maile have career games and shock Scott Co. (But then look for the Colonels to take a loss in one of their next three games, Simon Kenton or Bishop Brossart) but that's OK. They will be ready by tournament time.

Because it is being handled in a proffesional way unlike the Mason job where every applicant was made available to the world causing some problems including Elders coach who is a good guy. Why does everyone have to know who is applying. If I was applying for a job I sure would not want my present employer knowing I was out looking. Cov Cath administration from the the principal to the athletic director are good people doing this the right way.

They have their man, it is a done deal and it will come out when the time is right, when they feel like it. Trust me, nothing will leak out before the announcement. Cov Cath is a class organization and letting things like this leak so on-line chat rooms can talk about it will not happen. Your comment about the MAJORITY of Cov Cath alumni not having a problem is way off base. I am sure there are those who are for it but there many many who are definately against it.

JV just lost the exact same way the varsity did the night before to Cov Cath on a last second play. Cov Cath varsity and JV both with wins over the Birds this year. :ylsuper:

Very poor display of volleyball by all four teams; poor passing and can't remember where I have seen more balls drop to the floor untouched. The Niemer girl from Saint Henry is the real deal, very good all around player along with the setter from Notre Dame, Toebbe. With the large number of girls playing Junior Olympic V-Ball these days the play should be much better. Northern Ky. high school volleyball is definately down. St. Henry vs. Notre Dame should be a good one.

It"s not Cov Caths fault that North KY. football is horrible, except for Highlands and Cov Cath. They play what are supposed to be decent teams in North. Ky., like DIXIE (horrible), Boone (horrible), New Cath (horrible) and Beechwood (horrible) which are suppose to be OK teams. Fact is these teams are OK if they stay within their little circle of North KY teams. Cov Cath already goes outside the area to find decent competition and gets flack from many for doing it. Who do you want them to play? They beat the snot out of all North KY teams except Highlands. Not their fault. Wont have these kind of comments if teams like DIXIE, BOONE, and NEW CATH start fielding decent teams on a regular basis instead of one average team every 4 or 5 years. Colonels win a shocker this week.

Yes they did play them tough last year. Is this X team so much better than last years, NO WAY. Cov Cath offense has not played up to par yet and this is the game Bleser, Bovard, Sutton, Wise and Ganshirt all play like they can and pull off a big upset. The defense will be solid as usual. Special teams will keep them in the game. There have been to many dropped passes, over and under thrown balls. Coach Rodenburg, open up the playbook and let em loose. This coaching staff up to this point has not beaten anyone they aren't supposed to, NOW IS THE TIME. Brown will continue his OUTSTANDING performance and the Colonels pull off the upset of the year. :dancingpa

You are to funny. It would be a suprise if Dixie didnt KILL NCC. Anytime a 4A school plays a 1A school it shouldnt even be close. You guys crack me up. Go ahead and get exited about playing NCC. If you dont kill them you should be embarassed. Game of the year. To funny. Dixie is good, dont get me wrong but they should be playing other 4A schools to get ready for the season like Highlands is playing Male. Now that is a scrimmage game. Last week you played Connor 3A which is down and this week tiny New Cath. Dont mean to rain on your parade. Go ahead get excited. Go get em Dixie, beat that 1A school. Next year schedule some Ohio big schools or some large schools in Louisville. Give Bishop Brossart a call I heard they needed a scrimmage and maybe Latin School might start a football program. Dont get me wrong, I like Dixie and I know they are going to be good, but come on, do a better job of scheduling scrimmages.

Suprise is exactly the word that should be used. You amd your fellow Colonel fans may be excited but if you asked everyone in Northern Ky who the top teams would be, Dixie (right or wrong) probably would not get mentioned. Dont mean to hurt your feelings but that is the truth. That is why you keep hearing the word suprised. As far as the district champs, (a district that is weak year in year out). With all that said as my previous post said, Dixie should be good, what I saw I was impressed with. I wish them the best of luck. Dont get your feelings hurt when the word suprised is used, lay low and go kick some BIRD butt.

Ryle was a joke. As big as this school is and they showed me nothing. Cov Cath ran just basic stuff for the most part. When will Ryles program get to where it should be?

Dixie is going to suprise some people. I had heard they were going to be so so. I was impressed in what I saw yesterday. Both sides of the line were big and could move, many kids who could catch and run with the ball and all had speed. Not sure of starters but it looked like to me Dixie will for once have the luxury of having kids go one way. I dont think many of them are going both ways this year. They seem to be very deep, athletic and hard nosed. I again was impressed in what I saw.

Your cheering section was pathetic last night, in the finals no less. Our whole side was filled with Cov Cath and half of your side was Cov Cath. Now that is pathetic. Only good thing at your place is you have a Cov Cath alum running your basketball program and a Cov Cath alum as a principal.

Interesting season for the Colonels. Beginning of the season I thought they were a very very good team. Then they kinda fell into a funk and I thought they might be somewhere in the top 5 in the area. The last couple weeks they have made huge strides and turned into THE team to beat in the 9th region in my opinion. If this team can get contributions out of all 5 positions (like we know they can) noone in the 9th region will beat them and they actually can do some damage in the state tournament. This team is capable of a nice little run. This team is playing its' best TEAM ball right now and that will carry them through the 9th and on to Rupp. Good luck Colonels. :dancingpa
