CovCath @ Cincy St. Xavier Predictions

Featured Replies

Can anyone please try and convince me this game doesn't get really ugly. I mean I hope not -- obvioulsy. But the #8 team in America (they will probably drop some), on their home field (where they've won 20 something in a row), coming off a bitter loss to the #3 team in America -- ouch.

I'm willing to be sold on the proposition that CovCath inexplicably plays it close, or, dare to dream, wins the thing. Please...convince me I'm wrong.

I'd love for CCH to go across the river and pull the upset...but...

Maybe, just maybe if Cincinnati St. X had won that game Saturday, but

unfortunately they lost..... Hopefully the Colonels will play "With a spirit, that will not die" attitude. I just hope that no one gets hurt, and the Colonels keeps the game relatively close, but I will be there rooting them on, no matter what happens.

Go Colonels......

Go Colonels......

They played them tough last year, the Colonels have been playing well.........

But I doubt it, St. X is too good. Although I don't think CCH's D will give up 34.

Man I heard that Cincy St. X is tough, I hate to say it but I think St. X will win by at least 21

But I hope CCH wins by 21

Yes they did play them tough last year. Is this X team so much better than last years, NO WAY. Cov Cath offense has not played up to par yet and this is the game Bleser, Bovard, Sutton, Wise and Ganshirt all play like they can and pull off a big upset. The defense will be solid as usual. Special teams will keep them in the game. There have been to many dropped passes, over and under thrown balls. Coach Rodenburg, open up the playbook and let em loose. This coaching staff up to this point has not beaten anyone they aren't supposed to, NOW IS THE TIME. Brown will continue his OUTSTANDING performance and the Colonels pull off the upset of the year.

As much as I'd like to see a NKY team beat a Cincy team, this isn't the week. CCH is going to be lucky to keep the final score within 21 points. St. X just played the #3 team in the nation and lost in overtime. They controlled one of the top backs in the nation. There's no way Brown runs loose. St. X wins easily, 35 to 13.

St.X 44- Cov Cath 21.

St. X is too strong but the Colonels should be better offensively as they get another week of seasoning. what a greuling schedule for Cov Cath so far....

I'm rooting for the Colonels, but I think this one is going to be ugly. As Nees said, St X wins easily, 35-10.

St. X 33-13.

I hope your right, there would'nt be anybody happier than me to see it but I just don't see it happening. Defense keeps them in the game till 3rd or 4th quarter(just like Elder) until the depth, size and speed takeover and St. X wins 28-7. Offense just has not clicked well enough to take on one of the top 5 teams in the nation dressing 60 kids versus the 130 Varsity kids that X show up with.

I agree that the CovCath offense hasn't played up to par, but I can't imagine that they will bust it out against one of the top defenses in the country.
