  1. With 45 seconds left in the first half, Rockcastle county now leads by a score of 28-6.
  2. Rocks got lucky on that last play that went for a touchdown...couldn't tell from the camera angle but thought Quick might have been close to being out of bounds when he recovered his own fumble.
  3. Anyone have any info on James Quick and where he is looking to go to college at? This is my first time watching him play and am VERY impressed with what I see...dude is a beast receiver and has LOADS of potential.
  4. This is the direct link to the feed I am watching...hope it works for everyone. http://ehsports.com/mc2/default.aspx?gameid=8811
  5. Was listening in on the Trinity/Elder game and checked the Rockcastle County/Estill County game and the Rockets are leading 14-6 with 4:32 remaining in the first quarter. It was 8-6 in favor of Rockcastle county when I tuned in and the first play I heard was Clark Rowe scoring from 51 yards out. Unofficially, Rowe already has 85 yards on just four carries. Will try to update this every 15 minutes or so.
  6. Kinda weird that I am picking up the video feed and not many, if any, of the rest of you are. Trinity was like a machine on that first drive...very efficient and will eventually wear Elder down in my opinion. Also neat that I am hearing the radio crew during commercials and the folks that are back at their station calling out signals...lol.
  7. Thanks for the heads up in your post for the site...I got it to working me.
  8. Is this game being broadcast online either by voice and/or video? Would LOVE to watch this game...should be a good one.
  9. Just curious but who are these teams and where are the players from?
  10. Lawnboy, feel free to stop by the pressbox tomorrow and say howdy. I'm up there doing a lot but can still chat. lol
  11. Wish I could listen in but I'm doing stats, PA, music and scoreboard for the 9th region softball tournament. For what its worth, the stadium isn't Champion window field anymore since either the Champion Window folks didn't renew the contract or the Freedom folks are going in a different route...not sure of which though. They've just been calling it Florence Freedom Field for the time being.
  12. Well I was wrong about the 2011 state volleyball tournament being at NKU. It looks as if the KHSAA has decided to keep it at Bellarmine University's Knights Hall unfortunately.
  13. Congrats on the wins but you might wanna put the opponents in the thread title and each game its own thread.
  14. If I remember correctly from my days keeping the book for the Rockets, down the lines is somewhere between 310-320, alleys are somewhere between 335-345 and centerfield in close to 355-375. Don't harp on me for not having exact numbers since I haven't been to a game since 2005 but those numbers are what I vaguely remember.
  15. You are correct on the amount of weeks, but since the KHSAA technically calls the first week of games Week Zero, then the regular season would end on Week 10. Thus making the finals on Week 15.
  16. Southwestern HS is just outside of Somerset in Pulaski County. The school has been around since I was a freshman in high school which was the 1993-94 school year.
  17. My bad. Thought that since the semifinals were at NKU that the rest of the tournament was. I've not been by the softball this week so I didn't know if it had been there all week or if it was just select days.
  18. Are the finals at NKU as well? I might stop by to check it out if it is.
  19. I did music with the Florence Freedom for parts of two summers and have done it for numerous sports here at NKU for a few years now. The only thing that I have been told was at the Freedom when I asked if we needed some kind of permission to play anything we wanted and I was told to play anything "clean or edited" I wanted and to not worry about musicians complaining cause they probably aren't going to be in-house to hear their song played anyway. (Note: Sorry for the long-winded sentence.)
  20. Not that it matters one way or the other, but Champion Windows is no longer has naming rights to the stadium and it doesn't have an official name so when NKU played out there, we just used Florence Freedom Field. As for the game, I would normally root for Brossart against either of the other two regions in this section, but since they're playing a 12th Region opponent, I've gotta pull for the Ads. Wish I didn't have class tomorrow or I'd try to make it out to the game. Should be, as "Good Ol' JR" Jim Ross would call it, a slobberknocker.
  21. She might have chose not to play in the game. I'm sure she was invited seeing as it is taking place at Thomas More College which isn't too awfully far from Scott high.
  22. The Warriors is too common of a name nowadays. Out of the three that were given, I think Judges would be awesome since their are only a handful around the country that are called that.
  23. No need to apologize. You were going with what you were told, as was I. The only reason why I even posted the thread originally was because of the journalist in me in that if I was given a score, no matter what it was, I would have wanted to get the correct one. I was told some details on the game, and as I expected, BBHS did almost everything they could to try to keep the score down, including playing members of their freshman team. Everyone I've ever dealt with in the Stang nation has been first class and it appears they did what a first class program would do in the situation they were dealt.
  24. 32-2 was the score that I was told via text message from an alumnus of BB...I see no reason why he would have lied to me.
  25. I was told that this was the correct final score even though BBHS's coaches called it in as a 12-2 win. Couple questions come to mind... 1. Did BBHS play station-to-station after attaining a certain amount of runs? 2. Is St. Henry THAT bad this year? 3. No matter what the score is regardless if its a one run win or a 30+ run win, I feel you should call it in correctly. Why was it called in 12-2? Please don't think I'm chastizing the BBHS program...I know they've had a good program the last decade or so...and I am not accusing them of running the score up by any means...if a team is really bad, it is hard to tell your subs to not try to get a hit.
