  1. If I'm not mistaken, this game is scheduled to take place tomorrow.
  2. Just in case there are some of you ot there that haven't heard about it yet, the KHSAA had the volleyball draw this past Friday and was it ever a shocker. :scared::scared::scared::scared: The 2011 state tournament will mark the first time in KHSAA history that there will be a public school playing for the state title...mark it down that I said it first on here...well it is easy to make that call when you see the bracket. My guess is that Assumption will defeat either North Oldham or Oldham County in the championship game. The bottom half of the bracket is LOADED with the Lexington-area region and BOTH Louisville regions in the upper half of the bottom bracket. Also, both NKY regions will be in the lower section of the bottom bracket. The regions in the upper bracket gotta be licking their chops at the possibility of being the first public school to ever play in the state volleyball finals. http://www.khsaa.org/volleyball/2011/statebracket2011.pdf
  3. Not sure of the exact number but Rockcastle County has never lost to Madison Southern...I would say close to 20 or so games but don't hold me to an exact number.
  4. Bluegrasspreps.com is giving you a chance to show off your football knowledge statewide! The Bluegrasspreps Regional Pick 'em gives you a chance to pick games in different parts of the state for prizes EACH WEEK. There will be five regional contests every week. You will have a chance to pick the winners in each region -- NKY, EKY, Lexington/Central Ky, Louisville, and WKY. Each region will have five games to pick from each week. We pick the games, and you will pick the winner of each game, assigning your picks a point value of 7-5-3-2-1. The first tiebreaker is picking the team (of the ten teams in the contest) that scores the most points. You don't have to pick the highest scoring team, you just have to pick a team that scores more points than the team(s) picked by the member(s) you are tied with. The second tiebreaker is time. This is a season long contest and you can enter in any or all regions that you wish. At the end of the regular season, the winner of each region and the next five highest point totals statewide (the Wild cards) will compete during the playoffs for statewide bragging rights on Bluegrasspreps. If you win more than one position in the postseason playoff, then your second slot will go to the next Wild card. The best part is, if you win a weekly contest, you will receive a quality prize. Check here for a reference. The overall state winner after the playoffs will get a grand prize custom made for you. The deadline for all entries is 5 p.m. (ET) Friday. Be sure to post your winners and assign each of them one of the following point values (7-5-3-2-1) based on how strongly you feel that that team will win. (Please note that if your selections are NOT in the specified format, your ENTIRE set of picks will be voided) 7 5 3 2 1 1st Tiebreaker 2nd Tiebreaker: Time of post. The games for Week 6 in the Western Kentucky Regional are: Henderson County/Meade County Madisonville-North Hopkins/Owensboro Glasgow/Somerset Warren East/LaRue County Adair County/Bethlehem

  6. From what I have read, the team that Johnson Central played was using the game as an exhibition for the regular season where they play the normal Canadian rules. And of course, the game Johnson Central played was done so under American rules...if I'm not mistaken, even inside the United States, when you go to a different state, you have to play by that state's athletic association rules. An example of this is with schools from Texas' UIL (the main state association)...they play under college rules so when teams go into Texas or when Texas schools travel across the border, they have to make big adjustments in their game play.
  7. Through a friend on Facebook, I heard Clay County had about 140 penalty yards and that Whitley hit a field goal either as time expired or in the final seconds. I hate to say it, but looking at the schedule Clay County has left, there is a semi-decent chance they don't win a game the rest of the season. Now I'm not saying they will, but they've got a tough stretch to close out the season...at Knox Central, home v/s Bell County, at Russell County, at Rockcastle County and home v/s Breathitt County. Coach Roark will have his team ready each week and won't role over easily though.
  8. Final in the Rockcastle Coalition Project U.N.I.T.E. Bowl. Rock improves to 5-0 while PC drops to 1-3.
  9. Rock answers with a touchdown to extend the lead 35-13 with about three minutes to go.
  10. PC scores to bring the score to within 28-13. The kick was no good. There is 5:28 left in the game.
  11. Clark Rowe scores from eight yards out and PC blocks the kick, but Rock is now up 28-7 with 8:50 remaining in the game. Almost forgot to mention that this game is the Rockcastle Coalition Project U.N.I.T.E. Bowl
  12. With 1:41 remaining in the 3rd quarter, Rockcastle County now leads by a score of 22-8.
  13. At the half, Rockcastle County leads 15-7. Not sure how the Rockets scored though...internet issues kept me from listening to all but the last 90 seconds of the second quarter.
  14. Clark Rowe scores from 45 yards out and the subsequent XP kick is good as Rockcastle ties the game at 7-7 with a little over a minute to go in the first quarter. PC scored on their first possession.
  15. Sad to hear it, but on the positive side of things, she still has a bright future ahead of her. I stumbled upon a story about her injury and how her team was still honored despite losing in the semifinals of the FIBA 3-on-3 Youth World Championship and had to finish the game with just two players after Greenwell's injury and another teammate being out before the game started. http://rivals.yahoo.com/highschool/blog/prep_rally/post/U-S-girls-squad-gets-honorary-medals-after-hero?urn=highschool-wp5777&active_dimension=carousel_ept_sports_prep_rally&ysp_frm_woah=1

  19. Here are the results for this week's Northern Kentucky Regional contest. As always, the results won't be final for 24 hours. All contestants should use that time to check their score for errors. After that time period has passed, the contest is final and the winner should use the following link to claim the prize of choice. If you think your score is incorrect, please send me a PM and I will look into your claim. With only two scores tied for first place, the first tiebreaker is usually were a winner is decided, but not this week as both individuals selected the same school and forcing the second tiebreaker to be enforced. Congrats to this week's contest winner and remember that this week's contest will not be final until 24 hours from now. 18 blue and white mom......Covington Catholic (28)......Pick #5 18 NEERFAN......Covington Catholic (28)......Pick #22 17 BIG J 17 Cosmo 17 AverageJoesGym 16 Ram 16 2nd&short 16 LoyalFan 15 Bird Bath 15 Coachg13207 15 Jack of all Trades 15 raiderbird 15 Commander25 15 DragonFire 15 scootelew 14 Oxnard 14 Catsfan247 14 Eagle 4 Life 14 pirate1960 13 plantmanky 12 Colonels_Wear_Blue 12 lawildcat 12 mcpapa 12 fmkj 12 Black and Blue 12 kinglouie 12 jcdevil 12 JOHNDUNHOFT 12 afi100guy 12 FC 11 gchs_uk9 11 plukemcc 11 BRAVES1 11 EQUUS GREVI 11 PutMeInCoach 10 BigBack#25 10 Spread O 9 Jumper_Dad 9 westsider 9 Rebel 8 thegeneral 8 thenamerobdigity 8 Rebelstat 8 PAPA PIGSKIN 6 Qryche11 5 Fishhead 5 dd734 5 Neverwrong 2 newarkcatholicfan Season Standings 67 NEERFAN 66 raiderbird 66 2nd&short 65 Oxnard 65 Jack of all Trades 65 AverageJoesGym 63 Bird Bath 63 Commander25 62 jcdevil 61 afi100guy 61 lawildcat 61 mcpapa 61 scootelew 60 Black and Blue 60 kinglouie 60 LoyalFan 60 Cosmo 59 gchs_uk9 59 Colonels_Wear_Blue 59 pirate1960 58 BRAVES1 58 DragonFire 58 Ram 58 BIG J 58 EQUUS GREVI 57 thegeneral 57 westsider 57 plukemcc 57 JOHNDUNHOFT 55 Rebel 53 Fishhead 53 FC 53 plantmanky 51 PAPA PIGSKIN 51 Coachg13207 50 newarkcatholicfan 50 Rebelstat 50 Jumper_Dad 49 Qryche11 49 Eagle 4 Life 47 thenamerobdigity 46 gold sunrise 45 Eagle2013 44 blue and white mom 43 ThunderBird 42 LCDAWGS19 40 Just Win 40 StickerMann 40 dd734 31 kyvince 30 Birds15 30 fmkj 30 Catsfan247 29 JBauer24 29 PutMeInCoach 28 southeast_bell 25 Clyde 23 Neverwrong 18 Bengal Maniac 17 imsosilly 16 Govnah 15 cellking 15 dmh115 15 nees1212 14 SARR 13 CHUCKBKY 13 Czar 13 keyplayer 11 ATLCat 10 TripleSevens 10 uk#1fan 10 BigBack#25 10 Spread O 8 Morehead State

  21. I'm gonna guess that the games were played at Dayton High??? I went there to a game a couple years ago and almost left in the first quarter when the band was playing so loud that my ears were hurting...I was on the opposite side of the bleachers needless to say. It got VERY annoying quick especially since the ONLY time they played was when the opposing team had the ball. It made me root for the other team to win and I was there as a casual observer.
  22. Sorry for the lack of updates...trying to watch my nephews who are 5 and 2 years ols...they're a handful. Rockcastle County now leads 49-6 with just a couple minutes left in the 3rd quarter. The running clock looks like an inevitable occurrence tonight.
  23. My video feed went out and I just refreshed my browser and got the video feed to come back on. Also, I am using Firefox...wonder if that may be how I'm getting the feed to come in???
  24. Is anyone that couldn't get the video to work able to watch it now? Just curious.
