They have 8 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, but 1 high school.

They are currently 700 students over capacity of the high school. That means they would have to build an extra half of the current school onto SCHS, just to get the capacity right. That is without leaving room for growth. Not sure how much land is available at the current location. Could be parking concerns, traffic concerns. To me if would make more sense to have 1500 in one part of G-town and 1500 in another part. Not to mention you have Scott County Middle next to the high school. There are more issues than just borderline varsity players.

You're right, I don't know why he moved if he moved...but it doesn't take a scholar to figure out why he switched schools.

Moving one county away after school starts in the middle of the month seems a little odd to me (if he actually moved). Obviously he wants to play on a better basketball team, that is the reason. Its clear to everyone, but I just wonder if the KHSAA turns a blind eye to it. BTW, I'm not saying that as a knock on HC or their staff. I think the Breds will still be a quality team and make a run at the region, but losing DJ will hurt.

Will Harrison try to prevent his release? He did start the year @ HC.

I'd like to see a rotation of Morehead, Murray, Eastern, and Western. I know baseball isn't the same, but I can remember Harrison County (4.5 hours away) playing Boyd County (6 hours away) in a state finals in Paducah.

To me Corbin is a great job with top notch facilities, any idea who the front runner may be?

I don't think I would have left Corbin to go to Montgomery County. I would think he had a better shot at going to state in the 13th...but best of luck to him with the Indians.

South Laurel and Corbin Harrison and Bourbon used to be a good rivalry until they changed districts.

Congrats to Coach Miller. Not to get to far off subject, but was his name cleared in that scandal involving the principal and his mid-south baseball company?

I thought Hackett did a fine job at MC. He played a tough schedule both years he was there...best of luck to him in the future!
