Hackett leaving Montgomery County

Featured Replies

I was just informed Jonny Hackett is leaving Montgomery Co. Word I get it that he will be coaching at a private school in Tennessee close to where his parents live.

Best of luck to Coach Hackett.

Any chance Ginter over at Clark County takes a look at it?

I doubt it, but you never know.

I thought Hackett did a fine job at MC. He played a tough schedule both years he was there...best of luck to him in the future!

Is this just a coincidence, or is this part of the ongoing personnel issues at MC?

Battle Ground Academy has named former Brentwood second baseman Jonathan Hackett as its new baseball coach.

Hackett, 32, coached Montgomery County (Mt. Sterling, Ky.) the past two seasons. He led the Indians to a District 40 title in 2013 before finishing second this season.

Hackett replaces Brad Myers, who resigned in May to become baseball coach at Grace Christian Academy.

Hackett was a BGA assistant in 2006 when the team finished as the Division II runner-up with a 32-8 record.

Has no ties at all. Coach Hackett is going back home.

Do they write the name of the coaches in pencil on masking tape for his office at MoCo?
