  1. The Breds stay undefeated in 10th Region play. The Thorobreds improve to 15-7. The Colonels fall to 18-2.
  2. I think so, my other 2 in the top 3 would be Don Richardson and Bill Miller. Kentucky High School Baseball has been blessed to have some top quality coaches... http://khsaa.org/records/baseball/cumulativebacoachrec.pdf
  3. Tonight Coach Whitaker became the 3rd baseball coach in KHSAA history to reach the 1K club in wins. He is now only 6 wins away from tying Coach Gumm from Green County for 2nd place on the all time wins list. His record now stands at 1000-295 and that includes 4 state titles and 2 state runners up, all at Harrison County a rural school. He has consistently put out a winner for the past 37 years and competed against some of the best in the state and the nation. He has been honored as both the state and national coach of the year. Congrats to Coach Mac Whitaker on such a milestone accomplishment!

  5. It was to an out of state team.
  6. I based it on their schedule. They have only been out of 1 game with a tough early slate. The 10th is fairly weak this year. I think Bourbon is the clear favorite early on.

  11. He is by far the best arm the Breds have faced this year.
  12. They were saying on the radio that Ganns was 85-88 tonight. Where is he going next year?
  13. The Spartans improve to 6-1. The BlueJackets fall to 2-4.
  14. Disappointing loss for HC tonight on the hilltop. The Eagles improve to 2-5. The Thorobreds fall to 6-2.
  15. I have played and coached in sleet/snow. I would say if the wind chill is 32 or below it is too cold. If it were 45 and up, colleges wouldn't be able to play half of their games.
  16. As of 3/23 1) Bourbon County (3-0) 2) Harrison County (5-1) 3) Campbell County (0-0) 4) Scott (4-0) 5) Montgomery County (1-2) 6) George Rogers Clark (2-1) 7) Bishop Brossart (1-5) 8) Mason County (3-1) 9) Pendleton County (2-5) 10) Nicholas County (1-3) 11) Bracken County (0-0) 12) Paris (2-3) 13) Silver Grove (3-1) 14) Calvary Christian (0-0) 15) Augusta (0-0) 16) St. Patrick (0-1) 17) Robertson County (0-0)
  17. The Breds improve to 4-0 and Coach Whitaker gets #991.
  18. The Panthers record their 3rd 10 run win of the season, while the Wildcats have lost their 3rd game in a row. The Panthers improve to 3-0. The Wildcats fall to 2-4.
  19. That will really change Harrison's district with Cov. Cath. and Highlands moving up. (Thank God!) I wonder if they make a Harrison, Bourbon, Franklin, East Jess., West Jess. district or keep the Breds up north with maybe Scott, Holmes, and Mason.
  20. Final. The Bulldogs improve to 1-1. The Wildcats fall to 2-3.
  21. Final was listed as 15-5 in 5 innings. Jackets fall to 0-2. That was career win #990 for Coach Mac Whitaker at Harrison County. His record is 990-288 now in his 37th year as head coach.
