And let’s pretend that we have 2 full strings for O, D and ST. 22+22+22=66. Your proposal would not solve your perceived problem. Third - The USSR failed. So would your plan.

I could care less... but I'm not sure the schools in bold really fit into your districts as well as you think. Plus the western districts have 7-8 per. I think there would be a better way to even things out.

Does anyone know what will happen in Round 4 of the playoffs? Who will play what team and where? For example, I projected last year's 4A playoffs using this year's model... I think the KHSAA could have used this to really build excitement around the playoffs. How about doing this at the beginning of the season? Or after the regular season. And invite all the media into a big room. Broadcast it live, etc. It would be like the NBA lottery. But they would not be able to control the outcome that way, and that would be B-A-D.

My only problem with this is that the "blind draw" already happened. I mean come on. Why was this not announced before hand? What are the odds that this would happen on the first draw? This does not pass the sniff test. Also, how is it determined where game #4 is played at? I'm guessing it will not be at any Louisville school due to another “blind draw”. But in the end, all you have to do is win.
