  1. Have to get better info for you: FS led 34-7 at the half. WE scored on their first possession of the second half but Leo Stutzman took the ensuing KO for a TD making it 41-14. Player of the week (IMHO): Leo Stutzman Friday forced 2 fumbles, had 2 int’s, 54 rec yards, 2 rec. TD’s, 112 rushing yards and a TD, 75 yard KO return for a TD, 65 yard kick off return, and had a 40 yard rushing TD called back!
  2. "Franklin-Simpson closes with Glasgow – a certain loss."--Dragon Fire A little something for the Wildcats' lockers?
  3. From 2016 to 2018 FS went 45-5. Two State Championships. And very few injuries. This year have been the year of injuries especially on the offensive and defensive lines. Currently only one of five projected starters on the OL are seeing the field. An All State LB was injured early in the first quarter at Russell Co. This was always going to be somewhat of a transition year for the Cats. Even so, starting the year with four straight losses was not expected. How things look these last three games will tell a lot. This team is gaining confidence and experience each time out but so have the last three regular season opponents. Warren Central, Warren East, and Glasgow. I suggested early that the ceiling for this team would be reaching the Regional Championship game. Beyond that is cake and ice cream. Reaching that round three game will NOT be an easy road.
  4. FS had to overcome some in game adversity. #1 FB sprained his Achilles’ tendon early. #2 FB fell into a fence post bruising his back. Lakers RB Bland & QB Darnell are FAST. FS’s crazy quilt of an OL acquitted themselves very well tonight. The Laker Band is still good. I just don’t get HS marching bands in 2019. The KHSAA version of the RPI is a hot mess.
  5. FS is 2-4 on the season. Russell County is 4-2. The KHSAA RPI show RCHS as the favorite. Factoids about the event... The Lakers have a great band. Of the five expected to start in the OL for FS in July, one will play tonight. RPI is a turrible way to seed the playoffs. (IMHO).
  6. I looked on the site but could not find 2018. Can you provide a link?
  7. Long journey to Russell Springs. Hopefully FS gets some of the kids back that haven't been available due to some injuries. On video it appears FS is going to have an advantage in a couple of areas. Cats have more weapons available. There a are six guys that can break a play. Defensively there are some things that definitely need to improve. Trust your buddy and stay in your assignment. Russell County likely sees this as a chance to get their first win over FS. They have never faced a 2-4 Wildcat team so the Lakers will be motivated. As ACS was last week.
  8. I think Logan is on a “Mission from God”. Things did not end as they hoped last year and they will not be denied.
  9. FS has played Russell Co 8 times and have won all games 1995 56-13 1996 54-14 1997 51-14 1998 68-32 2007 34-21 2008 35-28 2009 45-20 2010 38-28
  10. Quarterfinals are Regional Championship games. Those aren’t seeded are they? District 1 & District 2, 3 v 4, 5 v 6, and 7 v 8 will still apply there won’t they?
  11. I was just commenting on the current ratings as they would relate to teams today. We are several weeks from the RPI having any meaning or impact.
  12. According to the 4A RPI today Franklin-Simpson and Warren Central will battle for the 4th seed. Could be.
  13. "It's complicated" where a player is concerned usually results to "It's detrimental" where the team is concerned.
  14. This is Meade Co. Play 2-3 good games then come unglued. Franklin Simpson played a game type scrimmage against Apollo. Scored 48 points in two quarters. Bad loss for Meade.
  15. Packed stadium. This community loves their Wildcats. I wish I could post a picture of the crowd. Shadetree Stadium was at capacity with a large SRO crowd. Breakout game for Tedric Partinger. On to Allen Co.
  16. Russellville used a lot of clock losing large chunks of real estate.
  17. Using the RPI for seeding is disastrous. This is a joke, right?
  18. Having made that comment with no backup, I will say that Greenwood will be the best opponent Logan has faced.
  19. Green wood will have to play better than they have the last couple of weeks.
  20. Gotta show up every week ready to leave the best you have on the field.
  21. One game at a time. This is a big week. Old rival Russellville comes to town for the FS Homecoming. A week long event that includes the entire town.
