Does UK win a game the rest of the season?
The Professor replied to theguru's topic in College Football
Quarterback is below average and the team has members that are undisciplined. This season is pretty much a wrap as far as wins go. -
So surreal to see the Admirals humbled week after week. They have been a juggernaut for most of their history. I suppose maybe the school has lost enrollment.

I’m not impressed in the least with the Oregon coach’s decision making abilities. Those 4th down attempts that were unsuccessful cost them field goals and the last one ended up costing them the game due to giving Washington a short field to tie or win.

This team is so undisciplined. Jeez. -
Kentucky at Georgia Predictions/Updates

Finebaun said on his ESPN show that this week would be a “coming out party” for Georgia and he is right on the mark. -

Kentucky is the most undisciplined team I’ve seen in a long time! -
The USA is off to a horrible start in the biannual Ryder Cup losing all 4 Foursome matches to start the event and trailing in most of the Fourball matches in the early going. I don’t think the final score is going to be very pretty for the American team Sunday but I hope I’m wrong.

Brooks Robinson passes at age 86
The Professor replied to Tranquility Base's topic in Major League Baseball (MLB)
The Orioles had another former Reds player, Frank Robinson. Cincinnati traded him for reasons I never knew and he proceeded to lead Baltimore to the 1966 World Series championship and also won the Triple Crown. And of course he was important in their 1970 championship as well. That had to be one of the worst trades in MLB history. -

Be was a huge thorn in the Reds side in the 1970 World Series. He was one of the reasons they lost, along with a superb Orioles pitching staff. -
Eastern Kentucky at Kentucky Predictions/Updates
The Professor replied to 16thBBall Fan's topic in College Football
Judging by last week’s 66-13 EKU loss to Cincinnati I surmise that UK is in trouble this year. Games with Alabama and Georgia are going to be ugly!! For the Cats, anyway. -
GRC building super-team

I heard GRC is loaded with talent in their middle school as well. -
Merle Kidwell Passes Away
The Professor replied to mcpapa's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Condolences to his friends and family. I didn’t know him but I know his dad Gary very well from the days when we both attended the annual Athletics Directors Conference over a 3 day period in Louisville. -
Kentucky (USA) 81 Germany 73 (GLOBL JAM)
The Professor replied to futurecoach's topic in College Basketball
They impressed me today with their hustle and defense once they figured out they needed to do more to stop Germany’s 3’s. And they are going to be so much more lethal on both ends of the floor when their two big guys are back. -
Karmit Black is the new coach at Jackson City
The Professor replied to FlyPattern's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I know of two members of last year’s team transferred after school ended in the spring. Leading scorer and freshman-to-be Flinchum (around 25 ppg last season) transferred to Powell County and a 6’3 kid transferred to Breathitt County. -

They still won’t beat Sacred Heart. They lost their dynamic guard to graduation but have a super freshman transferring in to replace her. And they have their two 5 stars returning. -
Open Job: Jackson City
The Professor replied to FlyPattern's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
They have lost some key players to transfer. Being a small school (less than 100 enrolled 9-12) that’s going to be hard to replace. Whoever gets the job will have their work cut out for them. -
Heavy rain, high winds, hail and constant lightning in Booneville. Our electric went out about 15 minutes ago. It appears the worst part is over but still lightening like crazy outside.

Aaron Beth new coach at Marshall County

Is the talented Marshall County sophomore golfer, Trinity Beth, his daughter? I watched her in a tournament in Lexington last summer and was highly impressed with her. -

How many players are going to be left for the new Bracken County coach? -
Huge Transfer News in the 10th Region
The Professor replied to GoBucks97's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
That’s a good time to do it if a kid is thinking about transferring. -
The last few days have been raw windy/cool days for early May. Low 50’s with winds 14 gusting to close to 30. It’s interfering with my arthritis, and my golfing, lol. I bundled up yesterday and played through it but this old dude is going to skip today. There’s too many nicer days going forward. These same conditions in winter would seem like a heat wave but not in May!
