With all due respect it just sounds like a silly gimmick to me. Trinity will have their first full pads practice Tuesday morning and actually get something out of it.

Is that the guy who had his hat "removed" by a player? Lafayette was very good at taking peoples hats off that game.

Correct mouthpiece use does help but there's no evidence that lack of neck strength has anything to do with concussions.

Should catchers be able to choose to play without a mask or chest protector? Should batters be able to choose to not wear a helmet? What about other sports that mandate face protection? Should they be allowed to opt out of wearing it?

I know Frederick Douglass is the 5th team in one of the Lexington districts. Will #5 out of that district not make the playoffs? There's not another 3 team district to send that team off to.

Yeah, I don't agree but I'm admittedly biased. Beatty has sustained a level of excellence pretty much unmatched in KY football. 12 championships in 17 years, 12-2 in Championship games. 218-40 overall record (84.5%) against stronger schedules then anyone else in the state has played.

I looked at the teams that got those 17 wins and the only "bad" losses I saw were to Manual, Seneca and Dixie Heights. The rest were to St. X or Male from KY and out of state teams like MBA, Ensworth, St. X (OH), Elder and Moeller.

Here's a serious question. If there is a requirement for keeping stats updated and a school doesn't comply should they be penalized? If so, how?

You did and I don't dispute your list just your admittedly biased opinion of who is the best, this is my admittedly biased reasoning why I disagree.

And still lost each and every time? How does that happen?

Then surely you can make the case you've presented. I've known some very good coaches that have been in awful situations, that have mixed a few very good seasons between the blah ones. I would have a hard time arguing for any of them as best ever despite having the utmost respect for each of them.

The only thing I know about Grayson County is that they lost to Ohio County last year. Ohio County was a very well coached team but I think they only dressed about 20 players.

Not arguing because I really know nothing about him. Please tell us why you think he's the best coach.

Want to make sure I understand the thinking here. 1 and 2 playing each other before the finals is a bad thing in except in Football if 1 and 2 are both from Louisville. Someone asked what the reward was for a team winning a regional if they had to play a high ranked team right off the bat. The reward is being in the championship tournament. Only 16 teams get to say that.

This would make more sense then what they do now. 2 separate weekends in Lexingtonnis stupid.

It's every bit as relevant as is a win by SK over Male almost a decade ago is to anything happening now and yet you regularly bring that game into any discussion of why SK should be considered a top tier 6A program.
