Simon Kenton faces their next step in their march to the regular season championship that they so covet. I am unimpressed with the margins of SK's victories considering the calibre of teams they've faced. They'll likely win this one by a large margin but then again they should considering who they are playing.

And what do you base this prediction on?

Is the cupboard bare in Independence?
What question? SK has scored lots of points against 2 bad 6A teams. Trinity has scored less points against 2 legitimate title contenders from Indiana. I'll take Trinity.

Is the cupboard bare in Independence?
SK isn't even in the smae time zone as Trinity when it comes to strength of schedule and strength of program.
-
Is the cupboard bare in Independence?
SK has played against much lesser competition. Warren Central would beat them by 20.

Is the cupboard bare in Independence?
Yep. Lots of wins in the regular season. Flameouts in the playoffs.

Maybe someday you'll get a chance to prove it. Doubtful considering your scheduling practice but maybe.

And Simon Kenton would still be shut out by them.

After reading some of your posts in the update thread it's obvious what your opinion is worth.

Or maybe the other schools in the state need to step up their game. But we all know it's easier to lower the bar then to raise it. Now back to the game. Playoff atmosphere tonight. Very happy the good guys came away with a win. If there's a team with more speed then Warren Central I do not want to see them.

South end dynasty - DeSales
DeSales has an outstanding 2A program. They'll never be competitive on a regular basis with Trinity or X.

Will the worm turn this year?
X doesn't take transfers?

What's the deal at Waggener?
Check my posting history I've been very critical of both Manual and Eastern in the past. To say that I repeatedly unfairly castigate schools whose kids have rough backgrounds is inaccurate. And for the record I still would like to see how Brents would fare playing against better competition. That's the post you pointed out from Oct. 2016. Please explain how it's in any way mocking Jarius Brents.

What's the deal at Waggener?
Didn't one time say anything negative about the players. It's amazing, successful programs can be picked apart but question a less then successful one and you get ripped. I know the talent that's been at Waggener the last few years and I still think it's a legitimate question.

Why didn't CovCath go for 2pt conversion to get a running clock in the Ryle game?
How long has Dale Mueller been away from coaching because the mercy rule has only been at 36 for a few years?
-
Is starting a running clock ever a reason to go for two on the PAT?
If I'm not mistaken Lexington Catholic lost to St. X a few years ago when they opted not to go for 2 in this situation. X was able to come back and win. If you're playing a hapless team then no, if you're on the verge of an upset absolutely.

The coach is the AD and if undefeated or 1 loss regular seasons and early playoff exits are what you strive for then you're doing great. If actually competing for championships is what you want to do...

That's what JV is for. Maybe it would be beneficial to play some real competition and get your starters close game experience?

That's an accomplishment???

Is the ship taking on water in Union?
They also are full of empty calories (wins) that give you a quick lift, but once the sugar buzz wears off and reality sets in you hit a wall, hard.
-
St. X & Trinity renewing an old tradition this season
It's become a necessity if X and T both want to have full freshman and JV schedules.

Is the ship taking on water in Union?
I'd say they are fairly typical of NKy 6A. At least they have stepped up and played real competition.

What's the deal at Waggener?
Two of Jason Frakes top prospects on their defense, I believe there's talent on their offense. Yet the bet blown out right off the bat. Do either Rice or Brents play any offense? I know they've had good players recently but the results don't show it. What's the issue?
