  1. No I actually said it yesterday. It chapped me 6 years ago when the SK folks complained about the hit and the actions of Trinity after and it chapped me again yesterday when I read it.
  2. That's your opinion and you're certainly entitled to it. I think you're totally wrong. And I don't wan't June off for the benefit of football I want June off for the benefit of the kids.
  3. You're really digging. The pictures do not clearly show a personal foul and you're wrong about the other thing.
  4. LINK But it's OK because it's such a small percentage of tax payers.
  5. If the initial premise of this thread was that drug screening welfare recipients is unnecessary because in this one study only a small percentage tested positive isn't that kind of like the Obama Admin's spin on the latest Obamacare screw up where almost a million people got the wrong information that they need for their taxes and now have to wait for the correct information or may have to re-file their taxes? After all the White House spokesman said it was nothing to worry about because it's less the 1% of the total tax payers. My question is when is the percentage big enough that it matters?
  6. Really? Do you really believe that practices on those days would really be "optional"? Just like weight room workouts for football, or open gym for basketball? We all know that when a coach calls an "optional" practice that's code for you better be there but I'm not allowed to tell you you have to be.
  7. I think I agree with everything he says. If I had a vote I'd vote for the entire month of June as dead. Some coaches really need to look at some of the research being done on over-use and chronic sports injuries. Kids playing the same sport year round are hurting themselves. If coaches in ALL SPORTS don't start taking this seriously then guidelines are going to be mandated (like concussion guidelines and heat index rules) by people who don't know and don't care what impact they will actually have on sports.
  8. Then let me throw this out there. 7on7 with out helmets is dangerous and stupid. At some point someone REALLY needs to actually take the players safety into account rather then just play lip service to it.
  9. Does this basically eliminate 7 on 7 or will 7 on 7 be done without helmets? Are the coaches on here comfortable doing 7 on 7 without helmets?
  10. Those pix were when everyone and everything was relaxed. One has to wonder the size of things when "things were up". I'm also wondering if he suffered from dizziness due to lack of bloodflow to the brain at such times?
  11. Maybe your "won" goal should get toned down a little, like scoring in a the championship game. Remember the next time SK scores on Trinity will be the first time SK scores on Trinity.
  12. I have to admit that the real reason I watched the last few seasons was to see just how far they would push the envelope. They pushed it pretty far.
  13. I loved my grandmother dearly and she was one of the most generous, kindhearted people I ever known. Wonder what happened to me? That said before she passed I used to take her to dinner weekly (she was in a nursing home) and she insisted on paying. She had no concept of what an appropriate tip was and I always had to drop more money on the table when she wasn't looking. She once gave a waiter a $20.00 bill for a $19.50 tab and told him to keep the change. I excused myself to the restroom, found the guy and gave more. There was nothing malicious about it it's just the way some older people look at things. Free means free and tips aren't required.
  14. In the tradition of Seinfeld a disappointing finale. Just seemed like a montage of how many past characters can we bring on and have telling bawdy jokes. Gotta be honest I really grew to dislike the Alan character so much that I was hoping that Charlie would show up, they would reconcile and then both be killed at the finale. Side note: Did you know the actress who played Ms. McMartin, the social worker, is from Louisville and graduated from Assumption? LINK
  15. Maybe, just maybe, if the mantra "it's only % why bother" went away and a zero tolerance policy for abusing the system then those of us who support reforming the system would back off. As far as I'm concerned if even 1 person games the system and gets away with it that's 1 to many. I also don't buy into the belief that some abuse has to be overlooked because if it isn't somwone deserving may be harmed.
  16. After the inevitable beat down Highlands puts on SK will any of his rhetoric change? For what it's worth until this game is actually played I'm thinking Dodge 'em Marksberry will try to find a way to get out of it.
  17. That would explain Obama being elected twice. Thanks for clearing that up.
  18. I learned to drive in a car with a "3 on the tree". I currently drive a stick. Every car I have ever bought except 1 had a stick and I hated that car. Shifting is second nature to me when I'm driving so much so that on the occasions that I drive an automatic I have to remind myself not to use the clutch. Stomping on a brake pedal like a clutch is not a good thing.
