  1. The whole frat thing is absurd IMVHO. There idiots should not only have their silly frat shut down, they should be suspended from school as well.
  2. Go to the Daily Kos sometime and read the tolerance the left espouses. And to the original point of the thread, there was no personal slam by the NRA. Simple. I admire what Gabby Giffords has overcome. I admire the fact that she's willing to take a stand and I abhor that the low brow morons that wished her harm did so. That said if you chose to put yourself in the public arena and make comments that some will disagree with then you have to expect legitimate criticism of your comments. That's all the NRA did.
  3. They mentioned her. In lefty terms that's a swipe.
  4. The very first line of the article I linked: Seems fairly self explanatory to me
  5. So you would have no issues if same sex couples or inter-racial couples were denied adoptions because living in that home MAY be harmful to the child?
  6. But it says nothing about Lott being racist. He was pushed out due to media reaction over something he apologized for. I still say it wouldn't have happened had it been a Dem.
  7. And that had noting to do with pressure from the media? That was all over the uproar over what he said about Thurman. How many cross burnings did Byrd participate in? Again, I've looked but can find nothing to back up your claim, surely you wouldn't have made a baseless claim would you?
  8. Does that number take into account the number of people that have just given up and stopped looking?
  9. OK i just did a quick Google and found nothing to back this up. Can you provide evidence? It did say he took an active role in keeping his fraternity segregated while in college but that would probably be in the same time frame Byrd was wearing a robe. What is the statute of limitations for an R to change his ways?
  10. Most nights my TV starts and stays on CBS for all of prime time. I only follow 2 ABC programs and usually that's on DVR because they're opposite Criminal Minds and 2 Broke Girls. I used to follow L&O: SVU but that jumped the shark so no NBC programs for me. I have Gotham on DVR but I'm not at all excited about watching it.
  11. Trent Lott encouraged segregation late in his career? I would say to you that Lott changed his ways as well.
  12. So the VP isn't a person of consequence?
  13. I Road Trip Amazon CalendarMob (much better then the resident calendar in iPhone, syncs better with Google maps)
  14. I used to really like using Foursquare. The check-ins, the "competition" among your friends, it was fun. Then someone had the bright idea to totally change Foursquare and to split it into 2 Apps neither of which do what the original did. I dropped them. Any others?
  15. Lets take it a step further. Trent Lott said something complementary about a Senator that at one time supported segregation, his political career was basically trashed. The media all but demanded his head on a spike. Robert Byrd was himself a member of the Ku Klux Klan and yet until his death was held in very high regard by the left and the media loved him.
  16. Even if as a Senator she condemned members of the Bush administration for doing the same thing? LINK
  17. You're right. I admitted I had a problem about 20 years ago when I saw the errors of following the path to the left and veered right. Growing up is a wonderful thing.
  18. Al Sharpton can say stupid stuff and doesn't even have to apologize to get a pass. Joe Biden is a veritable fountain of stupidity and yet he is still considered a viable presidential prospect. Maxine Waters, Sheila Jackson Lee, Alan Grayson I could probably think of more.
  19. Big difference is when leftys spew stupid stuff and apologize they are generally given a pass after their mia culpa. Not so much for conservatives.
  20. Remember it wasn't a tax and then it was. I really hope the CJ doesn't take the politically expedient route again this time.
  21. This is one thing I've always said when schools refuse to play someone else. It gives the players the impression that their adult leadership thinks they can't win. Not the leaders I would want for my kids.
