  1. Tuesday's game canceled because of the weather. No chance for a make-up.
  2. Sorry but I don't share your sympathy. The "good" Muslims have kept their collective heads buried in the sand for so long and allowed the "bad" Muslims to rise virtually unchecked. CAIR is already clamoring for hate crime charges against the murderer in Carolina. Why? He already faces the death penalty, to paraphrase Hillary Clinton, what difference does it make? They loudly protest anyone who may present a view contrary to theirs and who suffered in the name of Islam (Ayaan Hirsee Ali) and prevent any real discussion of the perversions of Islam that are happening world wide. It makes me uneasy that there still seems to be a large and vocal group of people that are so concerned about offending Muslims that they go out of their way to deny that Muslim terrorists exist, or they try to draw moral equivalencies to other religions.. As I said in another thread, polls have shown that a majority of Muslims is so-called moderate Muslim countries still believe that death is the proper penalty for Apostasy. Personally, I don't think Obama is a Muslim, but I also don't believe he's Christian. He's Christian now because it's politically expedient for him to be a Christian, now. Who knows how soon he'll "evolve" his beliefs? I don't see Obama's ego allowing him to acknowledge even God is greater then he is. Where was the concern for Catholics when the sexual abuse scandal broke. I clearly remember heated debates here over how the evil Catholic church allowed it to happen.
  3. This Trinity team, when they play, is very good but they are not good enough to just show up and win.
  4. Thanks, I was going from memory and didn't look up the standings. I agree that's still the best chance for a dark horse to crash the regional.
  5. None really. The best chance would be for CAL to knock out Eastern out in the first round of the 28th but I don't see that happening. Ballard will thump KCD in the 1st round. Central and Manual are well ahead of Portland Christian, Shawnee and St. Francis in the 25th. Those two make for an exciting potential championship game. In the 26th X and Male outclass Collegiate and Brown with X the likely champ. In the 27th the only drama I see is who gets the runner up nod. Trinity easily defeats Atherton in the first round and then knocks off either Seneca or Waggener.
  6. You really believe that the scholly hadn't been offered to anyone else? If so I have a bridge in NYC you may be interested in buying.
  7. I've gotta ask. Who's scholarship at Wake Forest did this kid take? Do you really believe that Wake kept a scholly on the shelf just in case?
  8. It sends a very stern message that such acts of idiocy will not be tolerated. Maybe, just maybe if more sanctioning bodies would hand down similar stern messages the game would get cleaned up. I abhor the trash talking, showboating and general unsportsmanlike behavior that seems to have become acceptable in sports.
  9. Or maybe the disappointment is why the coach is leaving. Scuttlebutt is that the parental interference there is so bad it's now cost the Bulldogs their last 3 coaches.
  10. Not to correct you or anything but the game at Lafayette is Thursday.:ylsuper:
  11. Love it when they are in an untenable position and libs resort the the Alinsky playbook rather then actually addressing the issue.
  12. At least one high school that I know of still says it every day.
  13. When groups like CAIR start allowing those that have been injured in the name of Islam (Ayaan Hirsi Ali for instance) to speak unprotested maybe I'll give this point of view some credence. Right now groups like CAIR shout down anyone who has anything remotely negative to say about Islam. Imagine the uproar that would have been heard if the "C" in CAIR was for Catholic and they would have as staunchly opposed anyone speaking out over the priest sex abuse issue as CAIR has done over Ms. Ali recounting what she endured in the name of Islam You realize that there are "mainstream" Muslims (majorities in both Egypt and Pakistan LINK) that support death for apostasy? How about the blogger in Saudi Arabia that was sentenced to 10 years in prison and 1000 lashes for being critical of Islam? Do they still amputate limbs there for theft? Can a woman drive? When "mainstream" Islam moves into this century then maybe, just maybe there could be a moral equivalency.
  14. I did. Thought it was an outstanding episode. Really liked the flashback scenes. Thought Ben Savage was a great choice to play the young Gideon. This season has been very good. I like the addition of JLH, her chemistry with the rest of the cast is much better then her predecessor. Side note, after the episode a few weeks ago with JJ dealing with PTSD i really hope she's not considering leaving. The show wasn't nearly as good when she was gone.
  15. I guess my reasoning is if you can't effectively attack or shoot over a zone but the defensive team can't match up in man why souls the defensive team be forced to change their style of play. With a shot clock a team can still defend the way they are effective and know in a certain period of time the offense will be forced to attack it.
  16. Victims of the Fort Hood Massacre are now eligible for the Purple Heart. LINK
  17. ...have been produced? After all it shows the British colonial forces as sadistic inhumane people and surely could hurt the feelings of modern Brits. This post is intended as a sarcastic jab at the modern politically correct climate where we MUST be careful to avoid offending anyone.
