  1. Disorganized on the sidelines, fussing at each other during games, ridiculous play calling, way to many delay of game calls, only a couple of coaches seem to be in this situation. I could be totaly wrong just a lot of bad body language on the sidelines.
  2. I hope your right, they may have to cut some of that non dedication and only have 30 players on the roster. It's also sickening to see that some of the players that are not dedicated, are talented.:puke: What a waste. In my opinion even though they won some championships after the coaches I mentioned, some of there replacements are questionable at best.
  3. Danville will miss Will Dunn next season no question, but if they can get their attitudes right they will have a better season than 2009. Remember he missed a lot of footbal games in 2009 due to injury, when he came back he played well but I don't think it will have a huge impact on the season especially since they have this much time to get ready and use to him being gone.
  4. I in no means am jumping ship, and yes the program has declined since their last trip to the championship game. I don't think its Sam Harp's coaching, he has proven himself. I think he has sufferred from some very good assistants retiring over the last 10 years or so Brandt, Mc Afee, Reynolds. I also think that some of the group of kids he has had to work with lack discipline, respect, and dedication. If you want to stay on top you have to comit to the team to get better and stronger that means year round. You can't just go out for football go thru the motions, so you put on an Admiral uniform on friday night. You observe all of the sucessful programs in the state and can tell they are serious about their programs. I played 78,79,80,81. Before that I went to games even when they played at Centre's field, I have been a part of Danville football as long as I can remember. I haven't missed many games in all these years, with that being said in the last couple of years things have changed fo the worse. I really think its a combination of a streak of lesser talent, but mainly the attitudes of some of the players and their lack of respect for the coaches. I know Tom Duffy was hard core, but he would not have put up with some of the nonsense that some of these players have exhibited in the last few years. I know times have changed since then and Coach Harp is hand cuffed a little with dealing with some of these players. We have some really good talent coming up I hope that these kids will restore the pride back in to Danville football. Will Dunn maybe looking for instant gratification, I wished he would have stayed, I know his dad showed a lot of frustration last year at times, it was their decision, maybe it will work out for them. I will continue to support the football and go to the games, but changes are going to have to happen to get back on track.:madman:
  5. That was my thinking, plus you would get to prove yourself against stronger competition in most cases.
  6. I said in my earlier post that I was speculating, I wasn't trying to say anything bad about anything. But I have been close enough to know the situation and thought it could be possible. I don't think Will would want to go to Boyle "just" to play for any particular coach, but be in a better situation as far as football is concerned. I also don't think they are talking about what happened to make the move. I wish him the best what ever happens.:thumb:
  7. There are several other things I have heard and know. Will and his father may not be satisfied with the way things have gone with the football program the last few years and don't think things will change, a Boyle County coach who has strong Garrad County ties just like Will's dad and these two are friends as I witnessed at the Bob Allen Pigskin classic, but this is speculation on my part, but could make sense.
  8. I have no idea about the rules, but I would assume they have worked something out before making such an important change.:idunno:
  9. He is moving in with his father, he lives in the county district. And is probably wanting a better chance at a scholarship.
  10. I hate to see it, but its his final season and maybe his best shot at getting attention from college scouts. Boyle County's program is definately higher profile at this point in time. Sam Harp needs to make some tough decisions and draw some lines in the sand. The Danville players are soft on defense and until they make a comitment to get stronger in the weight room, they are going to continue to get pushed around. Some of the Danville players are still comitted but not enough. Maybe Will Dunn and his family were afraid of the same old song and dance this year. I'm Admiral to the bone but its evident that things have been in decline with the football program for several years. The last playoff game against Green County was embarassing to say the least. I only hope the coaching staff gets tough and not just talk about it, even if player numbers drop thats what needs to happen if they want to get things back on track.
  11. Advocate Messenger reporting that Danville's Will Dunn transferring to Boyle County, but not yet ruled eligible to play sports.
  12. Congratulations Boyle Co., You guys worked hard and played hard all year for this title, well deserved.:thumb:
  13. There is only one problem with what you said,You are playing Boyle County, not those other teams, Big difference believe me. This has to be the best game plan, its Boyle Co. strength running the ball. Boyle's O-Line despite there size blocks extremely well, I think you'll see what I'm talking about friday. I saw high lights of 2 games on the internet of LO games, it looked like to me their opponents made a lot of mistakes and didn't tackle well, Boyle Co. doesn't play that way.
  14. I heard BC coach French say on a radio show the game plan is to run the ball to contol the game and keep the ball out of LO's offense hands. I guess that will be up to LO's defense becuase if they don't have the abiltiy to contain Mc Shara, BC will have some quick big play drives like they have had all season.
  15. It was no phantom call, it was a pass play, the ball was over thrown to the Boyle receiver, and # 10 after the play was over, decided to deliver a hit any way, I had my eyes right on the play. Also one of the Bell Co. linebackers a series or two earlier, after the whistle had blown head butted a Boyle player in the face mask, it was evident it was intentional and after the whistle. In my opinion Bell Co. was trying to intimidate Boyle Co. from the beginning and it worked for about the first half. Then Boyle got tough too and the rest is history.:thumb:
  16. While Marion County had a good team, Boyle is much better. Boyle will stop your running game I have no doubt, Bell Co. was big, strong, and fast, and Boyle shut it down. LO's passing attack will keep them in the game but Boyle is also good against the pass. Bell Co. had one of the strongest aggressive defenses I have seen for a long time for High school and Mc Shara still ran for around 180 yards. Boyle's coaching staff has proven they can get their team ready for anything.
  17. This kid is as tough as nails, I saw him take some good hits friday against Lex Cath. I don't think that will have much effect on Mc Shara. Also, as quick as he is, not too many people have time to square up and put a big lick on him, if they do the only thing they will hit is air.
  18. I think you can throw when you need to, but I doubt its as much as Lex Cath.
  19. Boyle Co. took care of the ball against Lex Cath, I think they will do the same against Bell Co. Boyle is at home and determined, I think they will win by 2 TDs. I thought it was interesting they gave up 150 yards on the ground friday I think that might be the most this year? But Bell probably doesn't have the passing attack that LC had, so the Rebels can load up on the run more.:thumb:
  20. Congratulations Monroe Co., I wonder if it was the same officiating crew that called the Danville vs Green Co. game? Though it wouldn't have made a difference there were some calls in that game where the refs looked lost. Hope Monroe can upset Fort Campbell you guys deserve a shot at the championship.:thumb:
  21. I haven't seen MC play but I have GC, both these teams seem to be closely matched. It may come down to turn overs. I know GC made two turnovers on special teams against Danville, these type of mistakes will be crucial in a close game.
  22. They are not the Danville of old so remember that, the Danville of old would have shut Green County's offense down. I did see some bright spots on offense in this game, and might have seen more if the defense had not played so soft and given the offense more traction. Hats off to Green County they have an agressive confident veteran team. But I wouldn't get used to dominating Danville, they have about everybody back and a lot of good young talent coming up. Coach Harp is going to have to have a heart to heart talk with some of those defensive guys, there were about five on defense last night who don't have the aggressive mentality it takes to play championship football and if you saw the game it was very evident who I'm talking about by the way they tackled. I hope a year of maturity will help.:madman:
  23. I thought Boyle County would be home for all 4 playoff games if they continue to win?
  24. Green County maybe favored to win, but you are going to have a big crow to pluck if the ADS win this one.
  25. Seems to me the "if we get that far" statement discredits them looking over WJ.
