When was the last time you were there? Evidently not since the 90's, because that's what a stadium that needs some major work looks like. The past few years have been VERY good to Manual stadium. A lot of major work had been done, and a lot of time, money, and effort from a lot of people has gone into the improvements. As much as that stadium has gone through it's in pretty good shape. Unless we tear the whole place down and rebuild it, it's not going to have the modern classiness of Marshall Stadium, but it's still a landmark in Louisville and one of the better stadiums out there. As far as the lighting goes. I never had a problem and my vision is horrible. I admit it'd be nice if we could get some new lighting but I find it annoying to hear people complain about it like it's oh so awful. It's really not THAT bad.

It was my first visit to the revamped stadium as well, and I was impressed. Not quite in awe, mostly because of, well, Manual Stadium. But still, it was definitely very nice, and I look forward to future visits if the series continues.

I'm not saying changing the offense is out of the question, but I'm looking back for the past few years St. X is the only one who's been truly dominant against Manual's offense, and that's because Glaser is a Wing-T expert. Obviously Trinity did well this year, but I think the trenches had a lot more to do with it. Seriously, when a team lays 40+ points in the first half of games like last season, I see no reason to change it up. Though if they were going to change it, this would've been a good year.

The PRP enthusiasts will have some things to say, I'm sure. Manual will have their chance to earn the top 10 ranking, and if they keep improving they will I believe, but NOT QUITE yet.

Yeah, but I was a little later than I intended to be and I made it just in time. If I chose to go on I would've spent a bit more time looking for parking especially since I'm not too familiar with that specific area.

Thanks, I try. Seriously, that was the first and probably one of maybe 3 I'll go to this season (guess which 3?). My responsibilities are changing, but I'll always pull for my Rams, in spirit if not in person. That WAS a huge crowd. I had to pay 3 bucks for parking, because I'm ignorant and kind of lazy in that manner.

PRP is definitely a grinder in the slaughterhouse known as R2D4. Although I don't see them beating St. X or Male this year, I do see PRP playing them pretty dang close. And PRP will definitely be the favorite against Manual this year, even if Manual keeps improving.

02ram said that Nick Petrino is a better player than what he showed last night (technically two nights ago as I post this). You can't disagree that he's been off to a shakey start this season. I don't think it will matter too much in the end, though. He his recievers will surely end up on the same page eventually, and the numbers will rise.

Trinity's defense was definitely the most impressive element on the field last night. And that number 5 was dang good for T. Manual's defense did better than I thought they would, but the offense did worse. They put together better efforts as the game progressed, but still, It hurt to see that lonesome 3 on the scoreboard for Manual. There were a lot of missed opportunities for both sides. Once again, all I can hope is that they learn from this and go on to put up a nice fight against Warren Central.

Jody Demling gives T a one TD win (31-24). That's pretty kind of him.

Still, the past few years Manual has been able to put up more points than most against Trinity.

I sure hope it will be a great game! But it's tough to say. Trinity has one game under their belts, a close loss, but still, it's Trinity. And Manual got a whooping in their first game, but got some experience and worked hard to open up at the end of the Eastern game. Trinity proved to be a first half team in their first game, and Manual proved to be a second half team in their last game. It should be very telling of where both teams are.

But what are the odds of lightening hitting the monster compared to the bunson burner heating the beaker? It's less amazing, but the odds are still in it's favor.

That brings me to a question about the top CITIES for football. I'd hope Louisville would be up there.

The best teams (Trinity, X, and Male) would be able to compete with a few of them, but they'd probably be demolished by a few, too. And there are far fewer teams in Kentucky than in other states, as to my understanding.

I think a few people may be doing a little bit of overestimating PRP and underestimating PD... but the way I see it, either Dunbar wins by a TD, or PRP wins from a margin of... 1 to 3 TDs, depending. I'll say PRP- 28 Dunbar- 13 I think this will be a telling game for both teams.

Woah, you don't have to yell about it!! Manual scoring both TDs on PASSES? That's kind of weird. But as LSU said in the other thread, the running game was pretty botched likely because of the weather. Not to take away from Trinity's undoubtadly dangerous D.

Not too surprising... but that's a pretty big margin of points. I'm guessing Manual's JV consists of a lot of freshmen.

I would assume the JV game is over by now... I had to work until an hour ago. So how'd it go?
