How I would rank the top 7 in 4A. Numbers indicate the HL's rankings.

 

1. St. Xavier 91.2

2. Male 90.0

4. Henry Clay 85.4

7. PRP 80.2

10. Scott Co. 78.3

24. Simon Kenton 67.3

3. Trinity 89.7

The PRP enthusiasts will have some things to say, I'm sure. Manual will have their chance to earn the top 10 ranking, and if they keep improving they will I believe, but NOT QUITE yet.

That's a crock! Once again..his rating systems offers too much credit to W. KY teams at the 2A level. No disrespect toward Trigg Co...but please c'mon...2A has been dominated by Eastern or Central KY teams for the past several years...

How is that so? On what do you judge that assessment?

I think everyone takes power ratings with a grain of salt this early in the season, for reasons that have been laid out here many times. Late in the season, however, Cantrall's power ratings have demonstrated themselves as a pretty good barometer of how teams compare to others around the state. They're certainly better than the Litratings.
