  1. Based on their style, I'd say the vast majority of games Miami plays this year will be pretty close.
  2. I know a lot of Trinity fans, and have attended several games there, and have never seen anything from their fans that is not visible from the fans of every school.
  3. No doubt. I have seen both teams this year, and am not overly surprised by anything at all. Sounds like Boone tried to mix it up more this week.
  4. A shame Farris had an off game. He was most impressive last week.
  5. It was "L's". Heard that the fans who remained where pretty loud.
  6. It has not been easy at all. But I would not have it any other way. And this Thanksgiving, I give thanks for Josh Cribbs!
  7. Wow. I was following the game on one of those gametracker things, and clicked out of it when it told me that Dawson missed the field goal. What an unusual ending to regulation.
  8. They have been pretty consistent though. Of the last five years in which any large school team from NKY has advanced past the first round (none did so in 2003) Boone has been the last team from NKY standing in the large school division 4 out of 5 times (last year being the exception). That seems pretty darn consistent to me.
  9. What happened to Mister Simpson at Michigan?
  10. I'd say CovCath gave St. X a pretty good game. I believe it was a 3 point game with just a few minutes to go.
  11. T-Will had a triple double, only the third in UL history.
  12. Deuce - I have heard that the field they renovated was actually one of the IM fields and not the field the band uses to practice on. What will happen to the field that the band actually had used? Will it become an IM field now?
  13. If they played since they were Sophomores, the Boone Seniors have been in 6. If since they were freshmen it is 10.
  14. And I don't know too many Browns fans who would either. But there are some Browns fans who would, and I am 100% positive that there are some Steelers fans who would as well. Especially at a bar at the end of a close game. I agree with you that it shouldn't be done, and I think the vast majority of any team's fans would not do that. But the fact of the matter is that the un-classy minority are the only ones who garner anyone's attention.
  15. Hopefully the Browns secondary will continue to improve. Pretty young back there, and young DB's usually have a tough time.
  16. Obviously it's going to need to be addressed. But I truly feel there are enough more than capable backs in the NFL (provided you have a good line to block for them) that the Browns should be able to find someone. Whether it be by draft or free agency, I feel confident that they will bring in the right person. Do you think teams like Denver and Pittsburgh just get lucky that they keep finding great RB's? I think it's as much based on their line play and coaching as anything.
  17. Yeah, but Browns fans saw what happened last time we took a "franchise" qb but did not have a line. You absolutely must build a line first and foremost. No exceptions. How do you think Aikman and Smith would have done without a good line blocking for them?
  18. What they needed was a Left Tackle. It was their most glaring need, and they went out and filled it with a guy who I expect to make many many Pro Bowls. You can't ask for them to do any better.
  19. I figured that the Browns would not be able to score at the pace they are used to on the Steelers. Their defense is tough. I hope that the games can continue to be close, and hopefully the Browns might be able to pull a few out in the next few years! Is William Gay seeing any time for the Steelers?
  20. You can't just go out and find a guy who will be a mainstay of your offensive line for a long time. Thomas appears to be that kind of guy. Peterson is an amazing talent, but he was simply not what the Browns needed.
  21. According to the Browns radio guys (I couldn't get the game, but my dad could) he missed a lot of open guys in the second half.
  22. No way to compare a LT to a RB. It was the right pick for the Browns. You can not be a good team without a good OL.
  23. I am quite happy with what the Browns did in the draft. Joe Thomas is going to be a mainstay for a LONG time. Adrian Peterson is a great back, who might become the best ever, but the Browns were MUCH more in need of a Left Tackle. Sounds like Anderson was not very accurate today. WebGems: A. You were at a bar at the end of a very hotly contested game between two bitter rivals. B. Do you really think there aren't some Steelers fans out there that would have done the same thing? All fan bases have some less than desirables.
