  1. I think a lot of the reason Tim Duncan has a better supporting cast is because of Tim Duncan. Would those guys be as productive on any other team? I don't think so. Duncan and Kobe are even on championships (for now), but Kobe won his when Shaq was maybe as unstoppable as anyone has ever been on a basketball court. If you were starting a team from scratch, which one would you rather have? I'd take Duncan hands down.
  2. My favorite part was the trailer for Harry Potter V. I loved the first two Spiderman movies. But I thought this was one of the worst movies I have ever gone to see in the theater. Just plain awful.
  3. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Covington_Catholic_High_School CovCath is now co-ed?
  4. Never smoked a cigarette. Never eaten fruit except for a small piece of an orange once.
  5. I am sure he was talking about Highlands playing Louisville St. X.
  6. Saw him play once. Was less than impressed by his effort. You could tell he had all the talent in the world, but only broke out in a full out run maybe twice the whole game. Was content to jog up and down the floor, and never made moves to get open. You could tell he had all the talent in the world, but he just did not seem to be very interested in the game. I realize this is only one game, and the kid obviously has tons of potential.
  7. Jim Tressell came to watch Kyle play basketball. Also hosted the pep rally at Elder that day. They had offered and were very interested.
  8. There may be more, but the one I noticed was no Pulaski County. It is there, but they have it labeled Wayne. Wayne County is labeled correctly, giving the map two Waynes and no Pulaski.
  9. Did anyone else notice the mistake in that map?
  10. Kyle is quite a basketball player. I went to the Elder/Moeller game at Elder (my cousin plays for the Panthers) and Jim Tressell and Kirk Herbstreit were in the house for the game. Tressell hosted Elder's pep rally that day. Saw Rudolph up close after the game, and his hands are gigantic. The word floating around Price Hill Chili after the game was that he is leaning heavily towards Notre Dame.
  11. I thought you might have a better memory of it than I. I couldn't recall if the shot tied it and sent the game into OT or was a winner. Good game, and you're right, that was a good Conner team. There were lots of good teams in the region that year.
  12. Conner's '01 team was good. But them beating CovCath was definitely an upset. CovCath was #1 in the region, having only lost one 9th region game all year (at Dixie by 3). That includes beating Ronny Dawn and Co. at NCC. Earlier in the year the Colonels beat Conner by 19. That Conner team was actually lucky to have even made the region tournament. They beat St. Henry by 2 in overtime in a district opener. That game featured a buzzer beater by a Conner player from the elbow that either won the game or sent it to overtime (I could tell you where I was sitting but can't recall if it was in regulation or OT).
  13. That was them picking a final four without being able to pick any of the top eight teams. I believe she had three Big East teams, GTown, ND, and UL.
  14. I don't think the kid ran into him on purpose either. But there was contact, and the punch was thrown in frustration. Still not excusable. Someone else stated that he punched someone who was running past, which was not the case. I didn't mean to sound as if I was justifying the action.
  15. The kid did not run right past him, he ran right into him. Still no excuse to haul off and jack somebody, but there was some provocation.
  16. I thought the roof was going to blow off of 4th Street Live! when Smith hit that shot. It's fun for there to be excitement about the basketball Cards again.
  17. Would that be Dan Metzer, class of '02? If so he went to CovCath for a year before transferring to Dixie.
  18. The animals sure didn't seem to be scared of them. I want to see an elephant.
  19. Thank you, you saved my sanity. I love the Africam. This is kinda gross though.
  20. How do you get it to work if all you get is a gray screen? I've tried it in IE and Firefox. I want to watch again!
  21. Nothing better than coming home from the bar and checkin out some giraffes.
  22. Covington Catholic kicker Shane Popham has committed to Wake Forest, per Ryan Ernst on his blog. http://frontier.cincinnati.com/blogs/preps/
