How impressed were you after Peter Sutton took a pass across the middle, broke a tackle and then outran the entire Highlands secondary for a 70 yrd TD run yesterday. He showed a tremendous amount of breakaway speed, is very athletic and a tough kid. Will any D1 schools give him a look?

Last year when Pete was a junior I had heard rumors that he was on Notre Dame's short list and that Charlie Weis even came and got tape of him from the coaches at CCH. However, I have also heard rumors that Pete is not interested in playing at the next level.

I'm almost positive that Pete isn't going to play in college. However, yes, he is D1 caliber. He has had an offer from EKU for a long time and alot of other schools would love to have him if he decides he wants to play.

I personally think this kid has the tools to play at teh D-1 level. His size is good, his hands are great and he makes plays. He would make a good defensive player as well but I think his brad is buttered at TE. Hope to see this young man playing on Saturday some where.

Partly true. It was a defensive coach who handles this area for ND that stopped into CCH.

 

"Short list" may be a bit generous. I guess it depends on what you define as "short list."

He played safety as a sophomore.

He's a DI talent, and he is fast.

 

He is not fast enough to play DB at the DI level.

From what I've seen and heard yes he is. I think he is the type of player who could be a wide out, safty of tight end. Where is he going???
