After conferring with my sources, this is only missing signatures. All of the details have been worked out for a home-and-home series between the Rocks and the Cards. 2013 will be at Colerain and 2014 will be at Trinity. Don't hold me to that exactly but I think that's what I heard. This is a matchup i never thought I would see happen. I am very excited to see these two heavyweights go at it for the next two years. I agree. I was just trying to find out which week was open in hopes that it might match up with one of Colerain's three open dates. It appears it doesn't. -CardinalsFan PS: as far as the comments on the troubles some Colerain grands had after graduation...well, I'll just say "Stay classy Highlands!"

LN - first and foremost, thank you for the answer to the question. Unfortunately, because it is week 0, I believe that is the final week of scrimmages in Ohio so there is no chance of getting an Ohio team to fill that spot, sadly enough. Secondly, and as importantly, if you feel Highlands is too chicken "you know what" to play Colerain, just say so. You don't need to come up with all these other excuses as to why Highlands won't schedule the Cardinals annually. Really, it's ok. If my program was winless against an opponent, I'd want them to strive to improve and eventually "climb that mountain", so to speak. You clearly don't. You want to talk about "changing personnel" and "defensive schemes"...that's fine, and it's also garbage. You don't need to do any of that. Multiple different defensive fronts have had success beating Colerain. It's about ASSIGNMENT FOOTBALL and DISCIPLINE. If these are two things that escape the coaches and kids at Highlands, I can certainly understand your argument. Good luck finding an opponent in Week 0. One of the dumber things I've read on here, which is saying a lot! The kicker kicks where he is told to. In addition, if the returner runs it back, that's a coverage issue, not a kicker issue. And as far as I've seen, Cooper's kicker seems to be NAILS on XP's so not sure what you're talking about, as I am sure you don't know either. Cooper is going to have to control the clock and tempo in this game. FC is an offensive force but I'm not sure they've seen a defense as stout as Cooper's can be. Should be another great game in the Bluegrass. -CardinalsFan

I think you are saying this, but to be clear... Moeller plays their games at Lockland Stadium. Lockland is a run down part of Cincinnati. The field is nice and seating should be plenty for what both teams bring to the table. Moeller does not have a regulation football field at the high school. There is not, nor has there ever been, enough room. They have a sweet 50 yard all weather turf practice facility with state of the art weight rooms and other facilities, but no actual field. -CardinalsFan

Great job of explaining this. So my question is this: Are all three teams definitely in the playoffs? I thought only the top 2 in each district made the playoffs in KY? This thread has run it's course. :isurrender: It seems that KHSAA is the answer mainly given as to why the game won't happen though most of the faithful on here believe that T has no motivation or responsibility to even try and schedule this game. I brought up 2004 Colerain as an example to illustrate a point, that is all. At no point did I try and spin the thread (that I started, BTW) into a revisionists history on the National HS Football scene in 2004. It's not dodging when you try and stay on point.
