  1. They lost a sub-district game to Somerset by a score of 7-6 and did not qualify for the playoffs. I believe Middlesboro was in that sub-district as well and also didn't make the playoffs, which meant that 2 of the 4 top ranked teams in Class 2A were not in the playoffs.
  2. That was an odd year as Corbin was ranked #3 behind St X and Trinity, but didn't even make the playoffs.
  3. 1. Golden State 2. Houston 3. Cleveland 4. Utah 5. Boston 6. Toronto 7. New Orleans 8. Philadelphia
  4. Why hasn't Louisville already offered? Is there recruiting class that strong that they can't use someone with his talent?
  5. Corbin man to be featured on new Discovery Channel show | News | thetimestribune.com I see Les driving this car through the neighborhood all the time, but didn't even know the backstory behind it. A good story about some really good people.
  6. Why are they not a part of the show this year? Is it because Jonathan retired?
  7. I believe that Jones will develop into a really good player if he goes somewhere that he can get 30 minutes or more of playing time. He is very athletic for a big guy and also has a pretty good looking jump shot, just needs minutes and more confidence.
  8. Hard for me to understand how Andrew Taylor from Corbin didn't make the list. He averaged 28 points, 10.5 rebounds and 6 assists a game despite being double teamed every game. He was the primary ball handler and had to create 98% of his own shot opportunities, so despite rarely getting open looks, was able to shoot 52.5% from the field.:idunno:
  9. Loyola looked very tired the last 10 minutes or so. Maybe the pace of the game and how physical it was played into it and they just didn't have anything left in the tank. Michigan executed extremely well during that time period as well, which seemed to cause Loyola to press too much and things kind of fell apart on them.
  10. It doesn't appear to affect current teachers that significantly, except for the cap on their sick days, which to someone in the private sector seems reasonable. It doesn't do much to help the pension deficit either.
  11. Gabriel will have to get much stronger, improve as a ball handler and become a better defender if he ever hopes to play in the NBA. I hope he makes it, but I just don't see it unless he greatly improves.
  12. This should work out to be a great hire for the Cards. Good luck to Coach Mack in bringing Louisville back among the elite in college basketball.:thumb:
  13. I actually like Shows as an official, which was not always the case. At one time I was pretty sure that he did not like Coach Cal in the least, but that seems to have subsided over the last couple of years. He is one of the very few officials that is not overly influenced by the home crowd and also doesn't seem to fall into the trap of trying to even up the number of fouls called, regardless of how much each team fouls.
  14. Everyone is out to get Coach Cal though...
  15. Why is Louisville wanting to interview Payne for the job, just to appease former players?
  16. Why did Duke quit going inside, they were scoring virtually every trip and I believe they win if they continue driving and feeding the post.:idunno:
  17. The last time that Allen got to the FT line was on a bogus foul after seeing the replay.
  18. Loyola was the best team out of the 4 teams who made it to the Sweet 16 out of this region though .
  19. Did Alexander shoot any FT's or even score in the second half? UK only had 6 assists, which backs up by belief that the ball movement was horrible last night, with a lot of almost selfish type play.
  20. Maybe UK should have posted Knox up instead of Washington, guy guarding him was much smaller and Knox is a better FT shooter. They had the entire year to teach Knox, Richards, etc. how to post up plus some post up moves, so it's more on the coaching staff than on Washington.
  21. Gabriel was trying to come off of a screen at the top of the key, but got bumped by a K-State player and lost his balance, knocking him off the route he was suppose to be on. I believe K-State knew he was option 1 or option 2 on that play and just took it away.
