Having just come back from that campus, I don’t know how a top recruit turns that place down. The campus is incredible and they win championships. I love UK, but I have a very new appreciation for North Carolina.

He was also the d-coordinator at NewCath in the mid-90s and Campbell County after that. If it is Coach, then it has been WAAAAYYYY TOOO long coming and well deserved. He was like a big brother to me when he was coaching at NewCath and I owe a ton of my work ethic professionally to him.

I also wasn’t one of the best in the country at anything. It is ridiculous that college athletes can’t get market value for the use of their likeness. Give the athlete the option (bc in truth we are talking about a very select few) to take the scholarship or take image rights. You can’t have both. Title IX issues fixed bc EVERY athlete has the right to that choice.

Still an absolute waste of resources. Let the NCAA investigate this stuff in their own time and dime.

I sure hope so. These kids need to be paid for what they are worth. For the VAST majority, this is the most valuable that they will ever be in their lives. I'm not saying pay them a professional salary. What I am saying is let them have the licensing rights to their image for 4 years. In truth, outside of Freshman phenoms, that only gives the kids 2 years to sell autographs, pictures, and appearances that they can't do now.
