One of the best games I've seen. Rockcastle's #20 lived up to his billing. #50 on the line was beast. Southwestern kept their focus and didn't quit. Congrats to Turpen on his record setting night. This is one my favorite Southwestern teams, there was such low expectations for these guys. But, they have come at each game as a TEAM ready to play. No quit in any of these guys. Congrats to Coach Girdler. Did an excellent job filling some big shoes last night. Go Warriors:banana:

Really nothing more. I don't know if Southwestern deserves a #11 ranking either, however there are a ton of kids returning not only at skill but line positions who are stronger, faster and more confident. They seem to be more "team" oriented as well. They have talent, coaching and showed some great "moments" during tournaments. Whether this will translate into a winning season is still a question mark. Scrimmages with Russell Co and Rock will help decide how high expectations could be for the year. I would rather we fly way under the radar for a while though! GO WARRIORS :banana:

I heard he transferred to Louisville, paying his own way this year; sitting out and hopes to take the field next year.

This is always a terrific match up. I think SW regroups this week with the lines receiving alot of love from coaching staff at practice. Players have got to wrap their heads around the "TEAM". SW Varsity scored 21 to Russell's 0 JV Russell Co 14 to SW 0 Fairly comfortable, no injuries either side.

Kick off is a less than 30 days and boy are we feeling the love already here in Pulaski Co! :jump: I like Southwestern in the Rock game, but know how tough it is going to be. The Warriors have some returning go to guys and some young guys stepping up, showing what they got. Most of what we need is some team work jelling. TT is demonstrating great leadership as are some others. Looking forward to their scrimmages to see how the TEAM works together. Somerset should easily handle Pulaski, but you never know with cross town rivalries. I don't have a dog in that race and like each team equally. GO WARRIORS:banana:

I had heard the Tn team there was the one of the state champions from last year. One of the funniest things heard about the TN team was from one of the Christian County players who said "They are just like a sack of puppies, when you dump them out they run all over the place":jump: GO:banana: WARRIORS

I saw Coach Cobb looking over his future Henderson Co. players at WKU's passing tounament today. I had heard the Jumpers were going to be there, but didn't see them.

Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends. He will be missed.

End of the first qtr, still tied up. Southwestern was driving, but fumbled on the Central's 5 yd line. Central now has the ball.

Late leaving for the game... Tied up at 6 each with 8:52 left in the first qtr.

RebelK, I am sure it has been a difficult year and it is sad to see your Seniors play their last game. Those guys should be proud and hold their heads up. Southwestern has FINALLY got that second round jinx off it's back. I hope we hear no more about it. This team has been really great to watch this year. Different players stepping up when they needed to, alot of talent all around, persevering through injuries and other turmoil. Hats off to the coaching staff. A couple of weeks ago Coach Lewis had a death in his immediate family and this week Coach A's father-in-law was hospitalized and had by-pass surgery. This is a team that could have come apart, but didn't. Kudos to the Senior leadership, all the players and all the coaching staff! GO WARRIORS:banana:
