Anyone Make the WKU 7 on 7?

Curious as to how the L'Ville teams faired, I know there were a lot there from out of state.

The only Louisville team I recall was Male, and I know they were a fair team. I believe I heard that there were 24 teams entered and yes the Tenn. team was an excellent team. The event was played at the WKU intramural field, as work was being done at at the WKU stadium. The event was well managed by the WKU staff and the heat became devasting as the day went on. All in in all, it was a good outing and to be highly recommended...:thumb:

I had heard the Tn team there was the one of the state champions from last year. One of the funniest things heard about the TN team was from one of the Christian County players who said "They are just like a sack of puppies, when you dump them out they run all over the place":jump:

I want to express the need for ALL to keep an eye out for HEAT STROKE and EXHAUSTION during these summer passing tourneys and camps. This last Sat. at WKU one of our kids suffered Heat Stroke(Tyler Pickarel). Symtoms were not immediately noticed until after we ate. He became ill on the ride home. Quick thinking by Coach Anderson and his staff got Tyler to the hospital in Glascow. Immediate care was administered by the Hospital Staff. His temp was 105 and not responding to treatment. He was then air-lifted to Cossair Childrens Hosp. in Louisville where he remains today. I am happy to report that there is a possibility that Tyler will be released tomorrow under strict restrictions. So once again I must mention for you all to keep an eye open for one another and " Coach A", thanks for saving Tyler's life...

Final four teams were Male, Hopkinsville, Franklin Tenn, Hillsbore Tenn

Hoptown won 6 games lossing only 1 game to the event champion Hillsbore.

Franklin beat Male in the semis by 2 touchdowns.

One of the better passing tournaments in Kentucky.

I talked with couple of Fern Creek players who were in BP last night when I stopped for gas. They said they lost their final game to the team from Franklin, TN. Apparently FC started out the day rough, stranded at a rest stop for part of the morning after their bus broke down.

Anyone know the name of the Franklin TN school? Franklin has a few HS

Franklin High School was the Franklin, TN high school, coached by Craig Clayton (former coach at Hopkinsville if memory serves).

Hillsboro High School, which won, is in Nashville. The Burros lost in the 4A finals to Maryville in 2006. Hillsboro won a 7-on-7 of about 30 teams in Nashville a few weeks ago and will be playing in the Hoover (AL) 7-on-7 next month, and may surprise some of the bigger name programs (Hoover, Evangel Christian, et al.).
