Final.. SW was just to physical up front.. Jumpers have a solid team, just young..

Way to go Warriors....

Been on pins and needles waiting for score/update. Thankx Commando!

GO WARRIORS:banana:

Great game Warriors, I wish you guys nothing but success the rest of the way.

Way to go Warriors!! And congrats to Jake King and Joseph Thacker, Offensive and Defensive players of the game!!

Very nice game by the Warriors who didn't let a couple of turnovers which led to Somerset scores get them out of their gameplan. Somerset should improve as the year goes along but Southwestern was just bigger, stronger and more experienced tonight. Nothing to hang your heads about Jumpers just keep working hard and get better for next week. Good luck on the rest of the season Warriors. :thumb:

Which of the young Jumpers played well? How did the 9th graders look tonight?

Trey Slaughter looked good at times when he was in on D. Storm played some in ount return and at WR, got a few touches but nothing big until the last play of the night went for about 30 yards. That was really all that stood out. Other that that the 9th graders didn't see much if any action.

J.P. Henderlight and Derrick Jackson both played well. As for the 9th graders I think Slaughter was in for a little bit on defense and Storm Wilson ran back a couple of kickoffs--both of which were good returns, he almost took the first one back. Price may have gotten a few snaps as well, other than that they didn't get in tonight.

That is probably a good thing. If they get bruised and battered early it might make them gunshy later in the season. I look for big things from this group once they have a chance to mature and gain experience. Somerset will improve and be a big threat for my Hounds and the playoff opponents, once the season unfolds.

That was Thomas Boyle on that last play. Storm ran back two kickoffs as well.

I was impressed with this young Somerset team at the skill positions, particularly it being the first game. But it seemed like Spears was running for his life all night. The line is going to need to vastly improve for this team to have a decent year... Young or not, Somerset can obviously still score. I'll take 28 points most nights.

If the line keeps the pressure off of Spears, this game is a lot closer or reversed. Too many missed tackles on the other side. If this team puts 11 to the ball, reduces missed tackles by 90%, and protects the quarterback, they'll have a nice year.

Congrats to SW on a good win. Fought through adversity with your own turnovers and kept comin all night long. Somerset got beat by a bigger, more physical, and more experienced team. Great job and good luck Warriors!

Nice win Warriors..... faught back thru some tough times early and put the game away. Something SW hasnt been able to do recently. SW has some young talent to go along with talented experienced players. I look for a great season from them. SHS is scary talented although young they will be fine. The 2 RB's are extremely quick, and fast. Was also impressed with #2 on defense. Good luck to the Jumpers the rest of the way. AJG good to meet you brother don't be a stranger.

GO WARRIORS!

Somerset is very young this year. They will take some lumps, but will improve as the season progresses.

Nice second half for the warriors. We kept it close the first half, but you prooved to be the better team in the 3rd quarter. Good luck the rest of the season.

I enjoyed talking to you and your Dad as well. I'll give you a holler if I make it up to any UK games this year. Good Luck to the Warriors the rest of the way!

How many Soph. and Frosh. will Somerset use this year? Who started QB?
