By the way, the game of football has changed.

 

Lincoln County's offense is averging 23 points a game this season. That used to be good enough to win some ballgames.

 

In fact, in 1981 Lincoln County had an undefeated regular season and finished 12-1, losing to Highlands in the Regional final and averaged.......23.1 points per game.

 

But, they gave up only 72 points in 13 games (5.5 average).

 

Offenses are more sophisticated and high-scoring these days.

If your post is directed to me, I am NOT saying that Lincoln County needs a new defensive coach.

 

I don't know what they need to do to cure their defensive woes and all I did was point our the exact numbers in relation to your question about how many points Lincoln is giving up per game this season.

 

A team that can't/won't tackle is going to lose a lot of games. I hope they get that problem corrected.

I think I had voted for the wrong team,but anyhow good luck to both teams.

I'll take Southwestern big in this one. Big thing that stands out is the difference on the lines. SW will dominate up front and have no problems running the ball. Mote and Floyd should have 150 yards each
