Most programs have trucks/uhauls to bring equipment to games. Buses bring kids, uhauls bring all tables, gear, water jugs, etc.

Freshman have played 8 minute quarters for over 15 years. JV has played 10 minute quarters for over 15 years. The National Federation Rule Book actually mandates times for kids in specific grades. Pee Wee teams have their own league, so they dictate the times. In actuality, b/c those kids are under 9th grade, they should only be playing 8 minutes as well. As for coaching, coaches know what they are getting into when they keep 40-60 kids. Maybe they should cut or set up B-games.

The return of Scott to Grant will yield a 21-14 victory. However, it will be a physical game and the team who can keep their cool will win.

I'm sorry, but I don't think he is ready to be crowned coach of the year yet. Maybe with time he will. Who have they played? It's hard to pick coach of the year in NKY b/c of the talent schools have. Dale Mueller, Bob Schneider and Noel Rash could be named that every year. Personally, I think Coach Thompson at Boone has done a fine job. He does have some outstanding athletes though. Also, Zach Deaton at Dayton has continued the rebuilding process in his own way.

You stated your opinion on the matter, and I just supplied the definition. I wish BBHS all the luck in the world, and have supported them since game one. However, they are many years away from being able to pay back the early years. By the way, they never gave up against Beechwood or Bellevue, but they were easily defeated.

Believe it or not, a block in the back has nothing to do with where the helmet is on the kid being blocked. Those days have come and gone. Now all officials are instructed to make the call ONLY when the initial contact is made in the back, basically make a box around the numbers. All head coaches know this from the state rules clinic. Looking at that picture, his hands are clearly on the numbers...block in the back. Sorry, but that is a flat out textbook block in the back in what we are shown in the still image. Now, what happened prior to his hands being there is the question. He could have started his block in the side or the front and then continued his block to the back, which would have made it legal. Again, great win Greendevils. I could not be happier for the community, kids and staff.

Coaching? They won with Eckstein(sp?). It seems as if those kids aren't taught properly on how to play the game. Also, they need a QB that can throw the ball. No offense to the kid doing it, b/c he gives everything he has, but bless him he can't throw well enough to be a Varsity QB.

Love to see the Greendevils back in the top 10...of the state. Congrats to the Dayton kids and staff. Band playing while another team is driving is bush, but everyone does it. Then again, so is "cramping" to stop the clock. Not trying to argue, but they are both equal in their bushness.

Newport only had around 20 players. All their kids played throughout the entire game. The question should be why should NPT concede a loss with 6:00 on the clock? I would expect every team on the losing side of the scoreboard to do the same. BW had 30+ kids on the sideline. Maybe they should have left their first team defense in the game and put the subs in on offense. It would be different it the margin was larger than it was.

For everyone's sake, let's hope it is 45-0 at halftime. Good luck to both teams.

Here's how I see it. Ludlow will line up and throw to four different receivers. Can Dayton cover those four guys? On top of that, Rouse is very quick when he pulls it down and runs. However, Dayton also has good receiving as well as kids that can run. Ludlow has been prone to turnovers, and Dayton has done well in creating points off turnovers. Should be a great game, my best wishes go out to both head coaches, staffs and teams.

No doubt. I thought Beechwood by 28, but they are the far superior team. I heard their starters didn't play much in the second half. Can anyone confirm? Dayton will rebound and be just fine.
