  1. Can you prove it is against the KHSAA rules? Personally, if they didn't come out as 10th and 11th graders, why even waste your time looking at them during try-outs? They are only trying out b/c they are Seniors and want to have purpose during their last year. Cut them and move on.
  2. Brossart lost to Eminence by 50+ points. You don't think Dayton can beat Brossart by 50+ points? If people didn't feel sorry for BBHS they would name the score each week. I'll go with Dayton in this one. Running clock for sure.
  3. This has to hurt the ego of Bishop Brossart football. I know they've struggled, but this had to be a circled game on their calendar as one they could win. Good luck to both teams on the end of the season.
  4. I agree that Cooper has played some very good teams. I haven't seen Walton play, but I have a feeling they will be ready to go. Should be a low scoring affair, but in the end I have a feeling it will be Walton on top. 14-13
  5. They had to run? Congrats to Ludlow. Good luck next week to both.
  6. Congrats to Bellevue on the win. Brossart has more than a long way to go. The best of luck to both the rest of the way.
  7. I don't think they could help playing BB. I thought they were district opponents? Hopefully BW will be able to move up to a different class, which would probably make them happy.
  8. Not an expert, but a clip is a block from behind, at or below the waist. So, unless he is coming from behind the defender and taking out his knees, it's not a clip. Also, where the helmet is on the block has zero bearing on whether or not it is a penalty. The question is, where is the initial contact. If the contact is not square in the numbers on the back of the jersey, it is a legal block. Ask an official...I did. Maybe the cornerback should call the crack-back block and not allow his linebacker to get crushed.
  9. Dayton 28 Ludlow 7 Ludlow scores first feeding off the home crowd, but the Dayton team silences the crowd with 28 unanswered. The best of luck to both teams. I really like Coach Deaton and Coach Hornsby. I hope both find success this season, especially for Coach Hornsby. He seems like a first class man. I would hate for the school board to run him out of town for not winning. Just my opinion.
  10. He attended Ludlow schools before moving on to the Kenton County school system.
  11. I think all fields should be closed to anyone who is not a coach, player, media, administrator, or someone doing work during the games. It's great to have support, but it is a distraction which is understandable. The track is a part of the field in my opinion. There are gates set up for a reason, therefore it should be upheld. Many schools in the past used to issue field passes to people, which allowed them to stand on the field. Maybe Scott High School should look into that. As for standing behind the bench on the track, I think that is a bad place to be for anyone not on the team. The team box runs from the 25 to 25. Nothing wrong with standing outside the team box to watch a game. I think a coach has every right to tell someone to leave his team box or sideline area if he feels as if it could be a distraction. Players on the sideline who know the alumni may have the tendancy to turn around and chatter with them when they should be focusing on the game.
  12. Doesn't seem to have done much. Congrats Eagles.
  13. Anyone have a link or know the schedule? I saw their commercial today, but not website or upcoming games. Thanks in advance.
  14. Owen 35-7. BBHS will struggle, new coach or not. I understand BBHS has tackling issues, per the Enquirer article on them. You don't perfect tackling in a few weeks, so it is my belief that Owen will run like the wind. Good luck to both teams and coaches.
  15. If so, that should create quite a rivalry between the two coaches. Let's just hope this position is officially filled by the start of the school year.
  16. I will agree that Austin had a great year, but he is no where close to being H.O.F. material. The people mentioned here were extraordinary athletes that did amazing things for their 8 years in the NKYFL.
  17. What a shame for the program. Did Shannon Minor ever land somewhere? If not, maybe he is up for round two on the river.
  18. Okay. I take it this is a laugher from the Scott faithfull. I didn't realize they were that eager to clean all of their coaches out.
