No big suprise.

Ludlow hung with in the 1st, it was a good game at the time.

Beechwood scored first, and on Ludlow's kickoff return Logan took it to about the 25, and a fade to Trammel scored to make it 7-6 on the missed PAT.

Panthers just need to keep their head up and get ready for a war to get in to the playoffs. Bishop-Brossart will be no pushover! Who was the starting QB for Ludlow in this one?

Uh BB will be. Watched them against Bellevue who Ludlow is pretty equal to and Bellevue not exactly an offensive force could have scored 100 tonight if they wanted to.

Will Ludlow win the game against Brossart, more than likely. But will Brossart be a push over, no. First off, let me explain to you guys what I think a pushover is. A pushover is some one who rolls over, quits, and cowers to an opponent. Brossart will not do that. Brossart will fight to the end no matter what the score. Timings just bad for them. Beechwood is always good, Bellevue and Ludlow are both on the "upswing". I heard from a couple of people that Brossart was somewhat forced into going into varsity play this year. If they would have passed this year they would have had to wait another 4 years until there was a new alignment. So it was either start it now or 4 more years of JV. I'll go on the record and just say, I'm glad they started it now.

IMO Brossart is not easily defeated because they never give up. Everybody take your shots now, but Brossart will be around for a while and they will remember the early years.

My Senior year of high school we (Ludlow) were playing Bracken County at home on homecoming. To say the least the Polar Bears were suppossed to be pushovers...we won 21-7. You can never underestimate teams, there would be no reason whatsoever for playing the games if you could and always get away with it.

You stated your opinion on the matter, and I just supplied the definition. I wish BBHS all the luck in the world, and have supported them since game one. However, they are many years away from being able to pay back the early years.

 

By the way, they never gave up against Beechwood or Bellevue, but they were easily defeated.

I think that Ludlow will beat Brossart, but I think that this game will be closer than most think. With Ludlow's injuries at the QB position and now the pressure of having to win this game against Brossart, will make Ludlow pretty tense and Brossart is a program with zero pressure on them because no one expects them to win.

 

I watched them last night against Bellevue and even though Bellevue could have hung 100 on them, Brossart still kept fighting and never gave up until the final whistle blew.

Really what is your point in calling me out here??? I mean this game went pretty much the way everyone thought it would go. I never once said anything about this game being a dogfight like some people might do...:sssh:

 

There is really not much to talk about in this game, so not much to post. Except I did like the pass Scott Dunn threw for a touchdown early in the game to get the score to 7 to 6 before Beechwood rolled..Its going to take some time but I think Dunn will end up being a very good QB for Ludlow, and now this definitely will help out Ludlow for next year, because they wont go into next year now with an inexperienced QB...

Stop talking about other teams, this thread is for Beechwood vs. Ludlow. Let's get back to the original topic. This game was no surprise, but Ludlow played hard. I think the touchdown they scored in the first quarter woke up Beechwood and they realized they needed to step up. Then they ran away with it.
