It's hard to say they have "star players", but they do have a few kids that can play and play well. They have a guard (#33) who is a very nice shooter, a forward (#3) who I think is as good as anyone on the team, and then there is the Baldwin kid (#30?). Austin is incredibly athletic and can do a lot of things well. I don't know how much more he will grow, but I look to see these three contribute at the varsity level. Sorry that I don't have more info. Only saw them play three times this year.

Any thoughts on Boone/Dixie saturday night? I'm going looong here and saying Boone by 2. Even though I secretly wish Dixie by 4.

It is my opinion that the people of Ludlow aren't happy unless they are watching Knothole baseball, riding their motorcycles, or trying to run coaches out of town. The fact of the matter is your boy's team had success with outstanding talent several years ago, but other schools have gotten better talent and your talent has dropped off. Get off of your horse, motorcycle, school board seat and the bleachers and get behind the programs. This has gone on way to long.

Lack of depth, or failure to develop/use their bench? NewCath is notorious for playing 5-7 people at all levels. Good win for the Breds. BW's effort continues to impress many.

Scott beat Simon Kenton tonight. Didn't see the game, just heard the score. I think that makes them 9-8? Next at Campbell on Friday. I'm pretty sure Campbell beat them the last time in Overtime.

New coach will remain under his teaching contract at current school until the school year ends. If I'm correct, April 30th is the date when the school tells their teachers if they will be rehired. My guess is after that date, the new coach will have a job. With Coach Fisk being a health / p.e. teacher, it should be an easy transition.

Don't feed me that garbage. You know good and well what you were doing when you posted what you did about the administration. People know the principal and where he came from. Stephen Lickert will not be the next coach at Scott. To be honest, no one around here may get that job, unless they want to be a first time head coach. No head coach will leave to take that job. If they do, I will stand corrected and eat my crow. If anyone other than Stephen Lickert takes the job, you will eat yours.

Normally crews from Louisville are much better than they showed last night.

Congrats to Owensboro on the win. Saw them play Boone County this year and was incredibly impressed with them. Does anyone else think they can win 5A beside me? I know many feel Highlands will walk through, but I believe Owensboro can definately give them a game.

Survive and advance...wow! Corbin really surprised me with their first half display. NewCath can be a dangerous team when they aren't kicking their own butts. Congrats to NewCath on the win. Congrats to Corbin on a fine season and a great game. Good luck next week NewCath.

Thanks. I don't mean disrespect, but after seeing NewCath play, I find it hard to believe that Corbin will come close to them. Southern KY football just has not been as strong as Northern KY football. I may be wrong in my score predicition, but I really feel it will be all NewCath tomorrow. If I am wrong, I'll have no issue with eating crow.

Where did this come from?

This year I noticed the Owen County program really seemed unorganized. That is just one persons opinion, but none-the-less true. I don't know why it is so hard to win at certain schools, but there has to be an answer out there.

I agree this job will be appealing. I can imagine several NKY coaches will apply, but who is the question. There are several good young coaches at small school programs that may want a shot at a bigger school. However, the small school programs in NKY have great tradition and have also become attractive jobs.
