final

Good season Hounds. Best of luck to New Cath next week.

Survive and advance...wow! Corbin really surprised me with their first half display. NewCath can be a dangerous team when they aren't kicking their own butts. Congrats to NewCath on the win. Congrats to Corbin on a fine season and a great game. Good luck next week NewCath.

I still felt like this was the 2A title game.

I still will until proven wrong.

Way to go on a good '07 season, Hounds. High expectations coming into the year, handled them well, just fell a little short.:thumb:

Great Season Hounds! Good luck to NewCath....

Corbins 2 losses could be to the 2A and 3A State Champs

Hounds will reload. The skills people return....Watkins, Fritts, Campbell and Sewell. Finding a Qb will be big. The majority of the line is gone and so is Cashen. I think it will take two years, but the Hounds will be back in the title hunt. Some good incoming kids will ease the pain. Expectations are always high and the Hounds go to bed and wake up each day with those. We would not have it any other way.

I think that Freeman at quarterback will be fine. What about the line?

Smith will be the starter at QB if he plays next year. Mitchell and Freeman will move into the wideout spots of Wagers and Madon. Dakota Taylor returns, and one other lineman...maybe Hayden....so there lies the holes to be filled. Nick Mills a freshman will see some action. Matti Taylor will be another skilled player for the Hounds. Should be a good year and lots to look forward to the next season. There are always some kids who step up and fill the void.

Corbin played a very fundamental sound game where NCC didnt... But they found a way to get out of this... Defense did an outstanding job all night, were put in bad situations time after time... One of these days bad snaps are going to get the breds but nice way to pull it out in the 2nd half... Big play was when the Corbin reciever droped about a 30 yard pass that would have been a TD a little into the 4th quarter

Good luck Breds!!!

Great game to watch, very cold. Congrats to both teams, and I hope you get home safe Corbin fans.

Something must have been going on in Newports Gym tonight. I have never seen that many cars at a NCC game but the stands were not full at all.

I talked to a few Corbin fans, great people they were all VERY nice, I hope everyone makes it back safe!

NCC continues to kick themselves in the butt.

NCC, the last two games have had 2 good completions and I think Kues has had 5 INT's in 2 games. They are a much better running team right now. Kelly is so quick.

Down 16-7 at half they ran the ball and ran the ball and ran the ball in the 2nd half.

Once they went ahead 21-16 they had what had to have been a 10-11 play drive that ate up 6 minutes of the 4th QTR. Corbin got it back and couldn't move the ball at all and NCC punched in the last TD with a little over 2 minutes to go from the 1 yard line.

Good luck next week Breds and congrats Redhounds on a great season. You guys played a very tough clean game!

Radio made the same comment. I did not want to mention it and seem like sour grapes.....New Cath made more plays. Maybe next time the KHSAA does the playoffs the Breds will come to the Hounds. First time in 15 years these two teams have matched up. Ordinarily the Hounds would have been playing Prestonsburg tonight, but such is life. Good luck Breds against Desales.

Corbin's QB had a pretty good game tonight, nice arm on the kid. I liked the way their RB busted up in the hole. He seemed to almost always to fall forward when being tackled. Good game to all in Corbin nation. NewCath looked awful, plain and simple. Got to give some credit to Corbin for that. The run for three rings will not happen with play like that!! I hope they can get it together fast. How about the "fumble" call on Corbins sideline? Worst call I have seen in my life!!
