Great game Redhounds, you never gave up and your team will always be remembered for that.

Great season and good luck in the off season getting ready for next year.

I agree, maybe fake a handoff and throw the ball would even be a nice change. You can only run your QB so many times, especially when he's only 150lbs or so.Good thing Robbie's a tough kid and is doing a great job.

There are probably a lot of things NCC could do well, but if it ain't broke don't fix it. If they run out of the I it takes away the option that Kues runs so well. It also doesn't give him as much time to look for receivers. Agree with what they did late by putting Kues under center to avoid any possible bad snaps after they had the lead, but stay with has brought home 2 straight titles and I think they will have a third.

What can be suggested for DeSales in order to come up with a major upset. For those who know this team. I do not know much about this team except they must be good to beat Corbin. DeSales beat Corbin in 05 in like a triple overtime I believe.

I am curious why everyone seems to think that a DeSales win would be a MAJOR upset. I don't think any team that makes it to the State Semis should be thinking in those terms. I'm sure NCC would take a one point win and be happy. There are no "style points" in the playoffs. Just win and advance.

Echoing what the Corbin announcers said, it just didn't seem like the Hounds were the same team coming out of the locker room after halftime. Corbin simply didn't match NCC's focus and intensity after halftime. Coach Schneider obviously made some good adjustments and got his young men to focus better and raise their intensity in half number two. A couple of folks who were on the Corbin sidelines indicated to me that they felt that Corbin expended all their energy in the first half and were drained by the start of the second. Whatever happened from the time the Hounds left the field up 16-7 to the sound of the whistle opening the second half is a mystery. You have to give NCC a lot of credit for upping their play but Corbin's focus was not the same coming out of the locker room.

Bottom line Corbin had some breaks go the other way in the second half and just got out played in the second half. The emotional drive and intensity was there through out the game. Some missed tackles and such.

Quite frankly I thought Corbin was just as intense and just as focused in the second half. The major difference was NewCath didn't play as awful as they did in the first half.

And actually on the road and giving up two scores to now be down 21-16, Corbin still had enough left to stop NCC a couple of times and could have taken the lead late.

What looked to be a disaster sack for NewCath when they were up 21-16 with 3 minutes left actually worked out. Now out of FG range, NewCath let the clock run down to under 3 minutes and then punted to the Corbin 2. Had they even kicked a FG Corbin would have got the ball back only down 24-16 and in a lot better field position most likely.

Sure NewCath defense played better in the second half, but really Corbin hung in there quite well.

Corbin played hard throughout the game, I don't really think that depth played much of a factor. Corbin's passing game just was not working at all and in hindsight maybe would have had more success running behind their big line. NewCath's defense was good though and created problems that the Hounds just did not solve, so it's just conjecture to say that something else would have worked.

You got it. There D Line was disciplined, how many ball did we have batted down, hard to get the ball movin through the air with a big paw up there in the air.
