I was wondering about that, I wasn't sure if they picked up the flag or what?

I meant to ask and forgot, where were these refs from?

The crew last night was from Louisville

This is nitpicking, but they were sooooo unorganized all night. They shouldn't have been given a regional final game. That crew was a joke. I know that Corbin's fans have too much class to bring this up, but I'm certain that they feel the same way.

There has to be put in place a system to where the officials who land these types of games be evaluated better. I know they get the games as a crew. The group at NCC/Corbin game have absolutely no reason being put in a game of this magnitude. It's not fair to anyone, especially the teams that are competing. This is like asking a barber (no offense) to perform a triple bi-pass operation. There has to be better crews out there not getting these games. I'm crying foul on this one it's simply wrong.:argue:

Corbin sometimes tends to try and outsmart the defense instead of making them stop what is working........it does lead to big plays at times though.

Fritts(#8)is a sophomore that has uncanny balance and is willing to stick his nose is there and get tough yardage. I really don't know if he(#42 is a soph as well) would have scored or not, but the kid is a winner and a warrior and I would throw it to him or let him run it with the game on the line anytime.

I appreciate your kind words. Caleb feels as if he lost the game for the Hounds. But as we all know the game never comes down to one play. However, try telling that to a young player who felt he should have scored and knowing him, he probably would have. He said the ball got caught in the lights and he never saw it. When it hit his hands it just fell through. He was devasted. Football teaches kids many things about life and that is you can be on the mountain one day and in a valley the next. Our strength of character is fostered when we can pick it up, learn from it, and go on. It really helps us put things in perspective as well. This is a shining example of how the only constant is Jesus Christ and without a personal relationship with Him we have no hope. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Caleb knows this and will find strength in his faith. Caleb also loves football and he will bounce back and be a contributor for the next two years. We had a great season and have nothing to be ashamed of -----we will grow as a team and have other opportunities. Thanks again for your kindness. GO HOUNDS!!!

He has nothing to be a shamed of.

Like you said, one play does not win or lose a game.

Trust me we know the feeling though, we lost a state game in 02 on a missed XP. It happens, and you move on.

Like I said earlier, I'm sure we'll meet up with you guys again in the future!

This sounds like it could be the start of a great rivalry like we have had with Raceland in the past ,with mutual respect from both teams .

:thumb: caleb is a great player and a great young man being one of his players dad i know this. and the main thing is that you should know you did not loose the game for corbin. corbin lost the game and sure sorry about that. but there were some key words in that post. you keep your faith. and keep your faith in GOD. sounds like you have that. i read your statment in the paper. see you at award time

Normally crews from Louisville are much better than they showed last night.

Got to remember when you increase the number of classes you increase the number of crews working this deep in the playoffs. There were 24 regional games this year versus 16 last year. And there will be 12 semis next week versus 8 last year.

Plus maybe we get spoiled by the efficiency of NKY refs all year.

No Kidding It would scare me if there were worse, just not fair to either team

No, NewCath is a much more gracious host than the city school in Pulaski Co. We just got beat tonight.

Glad to hear it just isn't NeCath that has a problem with the sore losers at the city school in Pulaski Co. Pretty soon they will acuse Corbin of recruiting.

Is it just me or does Mark Kelly never get a hole to run through? If it weren't for him breaking at least 2 tackles everytime he gets the ball he wouldn't have any yards.

Kelly one of the hardest runners at NCC in awhile and thats saying alot considering all the great backs we have had... Much better when he streches the field than through the tackles, WR's block very well...

His TD on the 4th down run was something else, he dove over the top only to get knocked backwards, then he just scooted around the end to paydirt. He frustrated the Corbin defense all night with his second effort.
