  1. Calpreps gives St. X the advantage 28-12 and Massey also gives the Tigers the edge 24-14 with a 70% chance of winning. Looking forward to this game.
  2. Purples win on a last second Hail Mary 24-21.
  3. Manual's struggle the last couple of years has been scoring points. This year against two of the "Big 3" struggled on offense. BE seems to be a confident team right now and I think they win 28-14.
  4. Absolutely. X has the advantage at the line of scrimmage.
  5. With Gainey back for Male it gives them that big play WR who can score anytime he touches the ball that they didn't have when they first met this season.
  6. Ballard too much for Ryle to get anything going on offense. Ballard 35-7.
  7. I think Trinity wins, but closer than expected. I'll take Trinity 24-14. There is a world where Trinity loses. It seems in Trinity's loses they've struggled with converting TDs instead of FGs. If that issue arises again then SK might be able to do just enough to hang around and beat Trinity.
  8. The pregame show with Coach Wallace and John Spears, Coach Wallace talked about holding a lot of players out this week and that Teddy is expected to return this week as well as a number of other players. Male is getting healthy, and it seems like the Tigers are getting healthy too. If Male takes care of business tonight it should be another great playoff matchup between these two schools.
  9. You can't be serious with this comparison, right?
  10. As always in the playoffs, survive and advance. Good job by the Tigers of taking care of business tonight. While some complain about these games, it does give many players an opportunity to play that don't usually get the opportunity to play, at least on the winning side. But next week is big boy football time.
  11. Playoff time has finally arrived. Go Tigers!
  12. Their offense has been a work in progress all year, especially in the red zone. If they were able to convert on their redzone chances against X they probably beat X. But Trinity's defense is legit. #50 for them is a dude and just disrupts opposing offenses. Will be a good second round game.
  13. If Anderson plays I could see the first half being interesting, but Male will control the second half regardless of who is playing QB for PRP.
  14. Should be a game where a lot of players get their first playoff action for the Tigers.
  15. Great way to end the season for the Tigers! Hopefully both teams heal up and get ready for big playoff pushes. Tiger run game did what they had to do, and the passing game did just enough. At some point the passing game may have to do more, but the way X runs the ball and plays defense they have the right receipt of balance heading into the playoffs. I agree with the feeling of wishing this game was not week 10. Hopefully with the new schedule cycle both schools can find a way to move this game up.
  16. Male seems to be getting healthy at the right time.
  17. At least during the Wallace era, the Tiger offense has struggled to consistently throw the ball against the Purples defense. Even last year, while the score was 27-0 the offense didn't really ever get into a grove and needed special teams and defense pull away from the Purples. I can see the Tigers offensive game plan to be similar to when they played Manual; quick screens will be an extension of the run game as the Purples will play zone coverage primarily in the secondary. Baily has continued to improve and will be challenge for the Tiger defense. I'm sure Coach Seabolt will find creative ways to get his skill players in space and force the Tiger defense to make tackles in open field. Should be a fun game to end the season and get ready for the playoffs.
  18. BG QB reminds me a lot of Scooter Hollis. It will be interesting to see what the X defense does to confuse him.
  19. Not high. PRP defense has difficulty stopping the run. But crazy things can happen in November.
  20. When I saw the heading "Male Getting Healthy" I immediately put my hand to my forehead.
  21. If Male runs as many empty sets as they did last week, against BE, I think they'll be in some serious trouble. Manual will be able to get pressure off the edges and make it a long night for the Male QB. If Swinney plays this week the Male offense will become much more balanced and difficult to defend for Manual.
  22. 2nd round is going to be an interesting one assuming top seeds win the first round.
