Bruins D Looks To Maul Raiders In Louisville vs. NKY Clash

Table Setter: Following straightforward, blowout wins in the first round, the Bruins and Raiders should ramp up the competition for one another, exponentially. 

Dixie Heights' defense was just what Ballard needed, as they continue to build confidence on offense. The Bruins have averaged around ten points per game against their elite competition - Trinity, Male, Manual, and Scott County - and forty per game against everyone else.

Ryle is no stranger to elite competition themselves, having faced some NKY bluebloods, a former 4A #1, and the current kings of 6A. They've come up short against all of them, but a schedule like that is built for the purpose of overcoming challenges like this one in November. 

Logan Verax will need to be sharp for Ryle, specifically when it comes to ball security. He's been picked off sixteen times this year, with eleven coming in their losses. Ballard's stout linebacker duo of Gavin Willis and Jamarques Frank have been rock solid all season and will be tasked with keeping Verax in check.

Ballard too much for Ryle to get anything going on offense. Ballard 35-7.

The O tackles Ballard saw last Friday that gave up the majority of sacks are not what they will get this Friday. Ballard is fast... very fast and their D was good. Special teams or turnovers may decide this one. Ballard I think has the inside track with a turnover prone Verax at QB and how good they are defensively. If Verax has time it could be an interesting game though.

Maybe 13-7 Bruins? I just don't understand how Ballard offense works, or why it doesn't work at times.

I think it will work against Ryle, the Raiders won't be able to keep up with the speed of the game.

Ballard should have a noticeable speed advantage over Ryle, but that doesn't mean they'll win.

I'll go with Ballard by 14 because of their defense and speed.

Ryle can only pull an upset in a fairly low scoring game. They also have to win the turnover battle. Ballard is heavily favored. Go Raiders!
