Scott County in the City of Palms Classic!
I am from Ft. Myers where this tourney is taking place. The last year I was down there to watch was when a very good Fairdale team with those two studs won it all. I think one of them was Darrell Griffiths son, Maurice something. This tourney has the highest quality teams this side of the Mississippi every year. Great crowds as well.

College recruiting at your school?
Coach Hope from EKU was at Campbellsville High School the other day. Shumari Bridgewater committed to Eastern Kentucky. Good Luck to this fine young man.

Is Recruiting Going On At Your School? I Think It Should Be.
1. Are there kids in the school not playing football who could help the team? 2. Are they not playing because of the non success of the program? 3. Are they not playing because other teams they are members of will not allow them to? Tradition has a lot to do with it. I think there are probably kids in every school that roam the hallways, that could help out with their school's team. In most cases, lack of motivation on a personal level is to blame. As far as coaches telling kids not to play because they are involved with other sports, that makes for a hostile environment. IMO, coaches that practice this philosophy should be fired. And, if it is allowed to go on, the administration should be fired as well. Just one man's thoughts.

Hazard at LCA
I didn't realize that Coach Rains had stepped down

Hazard at LCA
Watusi, I coached Mark in college. We are great friends to this day. He is a class act and will be a good head coach in this business in due time. I have to go with Hazard however, after seeing them first hand last week. We did not play our best game and they took advantage of our miscues. Hazard has the total package to run the table. I'm saying Hazard 42 LCA 28. Good Luck and safe travel.

Who benefitted most under the six-class system?
I agree 100%. More kids have oppurtunity to be noticed. Which leads to more educated populus. Football players are warriors, they need to be educated.

Which Game Will You Be Attending?
Going to check out LCA vs/ Hazard. Should be a good one. Good places to eat in Lex too........

Campbellsville @ Hazard (1A)
After learning a little more about Hazard, the Eagles have got their work cut out for them. The Bulldogs can run and pass on offense with plenty of weapons to choose from. On defense, they are strong up front and crowd the line with linebackers that like to run and make plays. The key for the Eagles is to with-stand the early game hype and settle into a physical matchup that should be intresting. Campbellsville is just finding ways to win. With only two seniors,( two good ones I might add ) It would be real easy for the young Eagles to be satisfied with the success of a district title. However, don't expect the coaches from Campbellsville to allow that to happen. More Observations Later.

Campbellsville 38 Williamsburg 36 (1A)
He is a dandy back. He can play on my team anyday. He is fun to watch as well.

Campbellsville @ Hazard (1A)
12-0 Hazard against the 6-6 Eagles. Should they even show-up ? More observations later.......

How far will you go...
Campbellsville to Hazard : 3 plus hours on a bus........................

Campbellsville 38 Williamsburg 36 (1A)
What a game. Williamsburg has a good young team that will hit you and keep coming. I was very impressed with #76 ( lineman that did not play last time they played ) With six minutes to go in the game, Campbellsville had 5 turn-overs and was down 22-6. They fought their way back and never quit. Good Luck to Williamsburg this off season. They will be hard to handle next year. Meanwhile, C-Ville travels to Hazard. After seeing the thread on next week's game ( Hazard vs Campbellsville 1A ) it appears that Campbellsville will be a heavy underdog. Hazard is big, strong and fast. No Way this young Eagle team can match up with Hazard. But, I guess the Eagles will show up and play the game anyway. More observations later.

Second Round: Campbellsville @ Williamsburg
GAME-DAY at last. The Ville vs/ The Burg. Should be a fun game to watch. The last game they played will have no impact on this game. Chant, The Return, RamblinMan, and Daddy Cat ; get the grill fired up and keep the coffee warm. District Championship on the line. Campbellsville is ready and I am sure the Jackets will be too. I see it this way : Campbellsville 42 Williamsburg 28 Good Luck and safe travel to all.

Second Round: Campbellsville @ Williamsburg
Chant, how are the field conditions down your way. It has rained here every day. What is the capacity of you all's stadium? Are you all expecting a big crowd? How much ? More observations later.

Second Round: Campbellsville @ Williamsburg
Those are some very good observations. Campbellsville (2 seniors ) is young too. I think the same holds true for them as well. Early success is important to a young team. It should be a war. Too early to call a winner. More observations later.

Second Round: Campbellsville @ Williamsburg
I was really impressed with the Lynn Camp facilities and am looking forward to checking out the surroundings at Williamsburg. Chant 50, I assume you are a Jacket fan. Speaking of bulletin board material ( " Campbellsville can not respond with the game on the line " ), you did pretty good yourself last week with that post about the Lynn Camp game. No hard feelings though, because I am looking forward to coming to Williamsburg. Which means the Eagles did respond last week. How about some places to dine on local food? Any favorites you could recommend?

Second Round: Campbellsville @ Williamsburg
This is a tough one to call. Several factors : 1. The travel - Two and a half hour bus ride for Campbellsville 2. Home Field Advantage - Williamsburg 3. Motivation Factor - Williamsburg 4. Offensive Scheme - Williamsburg Do you see a pattern developing? No way Campbellsville can win this game. Too much stacked against them. We will just have to wait and see how they respond. More observations later............................
