Is it true that South Laurel and Knox Central both are now without head coaches for the ucoming season?

Knox Central head coach Tim Melton has resigned. I have no other details concerning why or speculation on a replacement.

Is he any relation, to Leslie County Coach Russell Melton.

I wouldn't think so. Tim is from Florida via Union College.

News today has Wynn Harris taking over as the Head Coach at South Laurel. Congrats Wynn.

J.D. Bussell has stepped down at Rockcastle, at this point IDK if a new coach has been hired. Chris Bishop has been rumored as the replacement.

Congrats to Wynn and Chris, former teammates at Cumberland College.

Isn't Ludlow looking for a coach, or has that position been filled?

Hey thorobred it's interesting to how many of Coach Shelton's (St. Catherine and Cumberland) former players and coaches are coaching in Kentucky today.

Chris Bishop (Rockcastle Co.)

Wynn Harris (South Laurel)

Nathan Isenberg (Henderson Co.)

Danny Masten (Lincoln Co.)

Brian Coffman (Carroll Co.)

and many others as Asst. across the state

I think it just proves how well Coach Shelton teaches the game. All of these programs will be well coached, prepared, and competitive I can guarantee that.

Coach Shelton has also had many of his players come back and coach with him at Cumberland.

Right now, former staff ace Adam Walker (2006 grad) is the pitching coach there.

Also former Harrison Cty player, Richard Dennis, is an asst to Coach Shelton

Yeah he was Coach Shelton's first 4 year player (2 @ St. Catherine and 2 @ Cumberland). I think Brad Meyer is helping out this year as well at UC.

Any word on who will be the head coach at the new high school in Boone County. Cooper High School???????? I think they are scheduled to start play in 08-09.

You cant forget about Josh Bertram and Josh Hamm who both played for Shelton and are now coaching in the H.S. relm.
